Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a neuropsychological syndrome that is characterized by cognitive impairments. It typically affects adults 60 years of age and older. It is a noticeable decline in the cognitive function of the patient, and if left untreated it gets converted to Alzheimer's disease (AD).
