Background: Vascular anomalies (VAs) are increasingly being treated with PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway inhibitors. These drugs have immunosuppressive properties and thus theoretically overexpose patients to opportunistic infections, especially Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP).
