Purpose: Individuals with obesity and binge eating face weight stigma, which can lead to internalized weight bias (IWB), reinforce eating disorder (ED) pathology, and promote unrealistic weight loss expectations (WLE). Greater understanding of pathways between IWB, ED pathology, and WLE could inform interventions to promote healthy WLE and reduce IWB. This study explored pathways through which IWB directly and indirectly relates to eating pathology and WLE in treatment-seeking adults with obesity and recurrent binge eating.

Method: Researchers are increasingly collaborating with community-based organizations to improve access to health interventions, because community-based organizations overcome structural barriers to traditional healthcare by being embedded physically in the communities they serve, convenient to visit, regularly frequented, and led by trusted community members.
Youth in the United States are facing an unprecedented mental health crisis. Yet, brick-and-mortar mental healthcare, such as face-to-face therapy, is overwhelmingly inaccessible to youth despite research advances in youth mental health. Digital Mental Health tools (DMH), the use of technologies to deliver mental health assessments and interventions, may help to increase mental healthcare accessibility.

The overconsumption of food may also be motivated by hedonic hunger, or the drive to consume foods for pleasure rather than energy need. The present study hypothesized that hedonic hunger would modify the relation between temporal discounting and palatable food consumption.

Methods: Participants ( = 34) wore a Qstarz GPS tracker, Fitbit Alta, and Garmin vivosmart 3 on multiple days and logged their outdoor pedestrian, cycling, and vehicle trips. Logged trips were compared with device-measured trips using the Personal Activity Location Measurement System (PALMS) GPS-based algorithms, Fitbit's SmartTrack, and Garmin's Move IQ.
Background: A better understanding of the extent to which psychosocial and environmental correlates of physical activity are specific to locations would inform intervention optimization.
Purpose: To investigate cross-sectional associations of location-general and location-specific variables with physical activity and sedentary time in three common locations adolescents spend time.
Methods: Adolescents (N = 472,M = 14.
We examined associations of micro-scale environment attributes (e.g., sidewalks, street crossings) with three physical activity (PA) measures among Hispanic/Latino adults (n = 1776) living in San Diego County, CA.

Introduction: Parapharyngeal space (PPS) is defined as a deep space, located around the upper pharynx, in the shape of an inverted pyramid. Primary tumours in this region are rare, accounting for 0.5% of head and neck neoplasms, and most are benign.

Introduction: The most common cause of deep neck infections is dental infection. They are diagnosed with physical examination, imaging studies, ultrasound, or computed tomography. Surgical drainage of collections should always be performed early in a classical or percutaneous way, depending on the case.

This study evaluated two versions (arms) of a remotely delivered classroom-based physical activity (CBPA) intervention. One arm solely included remote CBPA; the other included remote CBPA and mobile health (mHealth) family supports.

Objective: This study aims to (1) quantify the extent to which interventions improve ICS adherence in pediatric asthma, (2) explore differences in effect size estimates based on intervention and study characteristics, and (3) characterize the risk of bias across interventions.

However, recent literature has highlighted a possible increased risk of delayed postoperative bleeding following LigaSure haemorrhoidectomy (LH). We aim to evaluate the rates of postoperative bleeding following LigaSure compared to Ferguson (closed) haemorrhoidectomy (FH).

Methods: Forty adolescents (13-18 years old) received either a tailored text messaging intervention (Network Underwritten Dynamic Goals Engine [NUDGE]; N = 20), or participated in an attention-control condition (N = 20), for 20 days. Physical activity was measured for all participants via continuous accelerometry.
Aim: Restoration of bowel continuity following a Hartmann's procedure is a major surgical undertaking associated with significant morbidity. The aim of this study was to review the authors' experience with Hartmann's reversal.
Method: This was a retrospective review of consecutive patients from institutional databases who were selected to undergo open or laparoscopic Hartmann's reversal at two tertiary academic referral centres and a public safety net hospital (2010-2019).
The Latin American Association of Coloproctology (ALACP) held its 26 biennial congress in conjunction with the 44 annual meeting of the Mexican Society of Surgeons of the Rectum, Colon, and Anus (SMCRCA). The meeting took place October 2 to 5, 2019, in Cancun, Mexico. Twenty-eight international professors from North America, Europe, and Asia participated alongside 62 speakers from all of Latin America and the Caribbean.

This study examined how physical activity, sedentary time, and dietary behaviors differed across home, school, and other locations in young adolescents.
Methods: Participants were adolescents aged 12-16 years from the Baltimore-Washington, DC and the Seattle areas from a larger cross-sectional study.
Background: Current digital health interventions primarily use interventionist-defined rules to guide the timing of intervention delivery. As new temporally dense data sets become available, it is possible to make decisions about the intervention timing empirically.
Objective: This study aimed to explore the timing of physical activity among youth to inform decision points (eg, timing of support) for future digital physical activity interventions.
