Background And Objectives: Objective of the study is to explore the possibility of utilization of seven part fully automated hematology analyzer for enumeration of residual leukocytes (residual white blood cells [rWBCs]) in leukoreduced packed red cells (LR-PRCs) prepared from whole blood at a blood center as an alternate to the gold standard method, flow cytometry. In this study, we evaluate the performance characteristic of hematology analyzer against flow cytometry for the estimation of rWBCs in 39 LR-PRC units.

Materials And Methods: PRCs prepared from whole blood donations by 39 donors were leukoreduced and their volumes were noted.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming haematology reporting by improving accuracy, standardisation, and speed, addressing the need for timely and precise diagnostics. This study explores the use of the AI100 (SigTuple Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore, India) automated machine, a smart robotic microscope designed to automate the microscopic analysis of peripheral blood smears. Through the analysis of four haematology cases, this study demonstrates how AI technology facilitates efficient cell identification, enhances risk stratification, enables early detection of abnormalities, and accelerates diagnostic turnaround times.

We report here a novel surfactant mediated fusion of polylactide particles into scaffoldlike structures at room temperature. In the presence of ethanol, evenly spread surfactant coated polylactide particles fused immediately into membranelike structures. Polymer scaffolds of the desired shape and size could be fabricated from polylactide particles using this fusion process.

Aims: The aim of the study was to assess the safety and efficacy of bivalirudin + glycoprotein (Gp) IIb/IIIa inhibitor as compared to unfractionated heparin (UFH) + Gp IIb/IIIa inhibitor in high risk patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The primary end point was time to sheath removal and ambulation where as peri-procedure myocardial damage, access site bleeding and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) rates were secondary end points.

Recently the reperfusion therapy in the form of Primary Percutaneous Coronary intervention (PPCI) has become the gold standard for the treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction.
