Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome in a Patient of Sepsis-induced Cardiomyopathy, Successfully Managed with Intra-aortic Balloon Pump.

In patients with septic shock refractory to pharmacological agents, mechanical devices have been used successfully, although the reports are scarce. We report a case of septic shock where intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) initiation leads to drastic improvement and survival from severe septic cardiomyopathy when conventional therapy was not effective.
