Customer's response to dynamic pricing in utility energy Tariff quality and reliability with the time of use: An Empirical case study of household electricity customers in Indonesia.

Time of Use (ToU) is one of the types of dynamic pricing strategies at which a pricing scheme employs a variable rate rather than a fixed one causing electricity tariffs over a particular consumption period to rise once in high consumer demand at peak times and to fall once the demand is low at off-peak times. Owing to the important factor of perceiving customers' response to the successful implementation of the ToU tariff scheme, this study examines the household electricity customers' response in Indonesia - especially residents of Java Island and Bali Island - to future implementation of this dynamic pricing strategy in utility energy tariff quality and reliability. Data on the behavior of the PLN customers need to be thoroughly gathered and then analyzed quantitatively for well-informed decisions on a set of variable rates based on peak/off-peak times of the day and the season to establish in a board of directors' room.

Indonesia, a key player in the global energy transition, faces surging electricity demand and ambitious renewable energy goals. In response, the government introduced a new regulation about renewable energy tariffs, including tariffs for photovoltaic (PV). However, there remains a gap in the academic literature regarding PV power plant feasibility studies under these tariffs.

Background: Primary care is integral to the health system and population health. Primary care research is still in development and most academic departments lack effective research investments. High impact primary care research programs are needed to advance the field to ensure a robust primary care system for the future.

Co-designing a web-based education platform for patients with early pregnancy loss.

Canadian emergency departments (EDs) frequently provide care to patients undergoing early pregnancy loss. Unfortunately, in this setting, patients commonly have negative experiences, in part due to lack of appropriate follow-up and education on symptoms that may arise after discharge. In response to this gap, our team created a free, web-based, patient-informed educational platform for women to access accurate information on early pregnancy loss.

Improvement of kidney function in patients with chronic kidney disease and severe obesity after bariatric surgery: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

The general management for chronic kidney disease (CKD) includes treating reversible causes, including obesity, which may be both a driver and comorbidity for CKD. Bariatric surgery has been shown to reduce the likelihood of CKD progression and improve kidney function in observational studies. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of patients with at least stage 3 CKD and obesity receiving bariatric surgery.

Partial orchiectomy: The Princess Margaret cancer centre experience.

Introduction: Radical orchiectomy (RO) is the standard treatment for a testis cancer. Organ sparing surgery can be considered in the setting of a solitary functioning testis or bilateral tumors. It has also been suggested as an alternative to RO for small lesions.

Non-conventional therapies for Peyronie's disease: what is the evidence for efficacy?

Background: In recent years, there has been a surge in non-conventional therapies for Peyronie's disease (PD). With increasing interest in these novel therapies, we conducted a narrative review to explore the efficacy and safety of these treatments to provide clarity for patients and providers.

Methods: A literature search was conducted to find studies describing non-conventional treatments of PD.

Methods: A retrospective review was performed of patients who underwent retroperitoneal and thoracic/cervical resection of post chemotherapy residual masses between 2002 and 2018. Group 1: "Simultaneous" (Combined Retroperitoneal and Thoracic/Cervical resections on the same date); Group 2: "Sequential" (Retroperitoneal and Thoracic/Cervical resections at separate dates).

Assessing the methodological and reporting quality of clinical systematic reviews and meta-analyses in paediatric urology: can practices on contemporary highest levels of evidence be built?

Introduction: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses provide a comprehensive summary of research studies and are used to assess clinical evidence, form policy and construct guidelines. This is pertinent to childhood surgery with issues of consent and condition prevalence. The aims of this study were to evaluate the methodological and reporting quality of these reviews and to identify how these reviews might guide clinical practice amongst those conditions most commonly encountered and managed by practicing paediatric urologists.

Summary Of Background Data: LSG and LRYGB are the 2 most commonly performed bariatric surgeries for the treatment of obesity. The comparative outcomes of the 2 surgeries is a topic of ongoing debate and medium-term outcomes remain uncertain.

Current Educational Interventions for Improving Technical Skills of Urology Trainees in Endourological Procedures: A Systematic Review.

Endourology continues to grow with the introduction of new technologies into clinical practice. Simulators and training models have been developed to improve comfort and proficiency in endoscopic procedures. The purpose of this systematic review was to examine the current educational interventions utilized to improve the performance of endourology trainees and to critically appraise the strengths and limitations of each.

The impact of bariatric surgery on urinary incontinence: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objectives: To systematically review and meta-analyse the impact of bariatric surgery on obese patients with urinary incontinence (UI).

Methods: A search of the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), the Excerpta Medica dataBASE (EMBASE), Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and PubMed to June 2018 was performed using methods pre-published on the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO). Reporting followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines.

Peyronie's disease and testosterone deficiency: Is there a link?

Introduction: Peyronie's disease (PD) and testosterone deficiency (TD) impact men at the same stage of life and can ultimately contribute to erectile dysfunction. There is speculation that low levels of testosterone (T) may predispose men to penile fibrosis; however, there is no published, up-to-date review summarizing the current evidence. Therefore, we conducted a narrative review of the literature exploring the relationship between PD and TD.

Understanding muscle-immune interactions in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis: a feasibility study.

Background: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is the most common form of scoliosis in children, and its cause remains unknown. The Immune-metabolic CONnections to Scoliosis (ICONS) Study was designed to elucidate the potential mechanisms by which immune system-paraspinal muscle crosstalk contributes to the development of AIS. In this report, we document the evaluation of ICONS Study feasibility.

Use of Doppler velocimetry in diagnosis and prognosis of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR): A Review.

Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is a condition which has been difficult to assess at an early stage, resulting in the delivery of children who have poor genetic growth potential. Currently, IUGR classification is based upon the system of ultrasound biometry. Doppler velocimetry allows the measurement of hemodynamic flow of major fetal vessels, comparing the flow indices and patterns of normal and IUGR cases.
