Background: Orofacial neoplasms in children and young adults may differ significantly from those observed in adults. Our aim was to describe the epidemiological characteristics of histologically diagnosed orofacial neoplasms among children and young adults in Nigeria.
Methods: This was a multicenter cross-sectional study across geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Background: Nigeria, like many other countries, faced challenges in dental care provision during the COVID-19 pandemic, necessitating limited care to emergencies only. However, the impact of restricted access to dental services on oral health remains a concern, particularly with preventive maintenance care. This study aims to identify the factors associated with dental service utilization during the COVID-19 pandemic among patients attending dental clinics in Nigeria, and their sources of information about COVID-19.

Introduction: With pain being the major cause of visits to the dental clinic, the basic knowledge of causes for adequate management is paramount for dentists and dentists-in-training to improve the quality of life of patients.
Objective: The study was conducted to assess the knowledge of undergraduate dental students regarding orofacial pain (OFP) and how comfortable they are understanding, identifying, and diagnosing different categories of OFP.
Design: A cross-sectional study was carried out amongst penultimate and final year dental students of two dental schools.
Background: Dental caries is the most common oral disease of mankind; however, there are limited data on the oral status of adolescents in northern Nigeria. Recently, the World Health Organization set the global caries goal as significant caries (SiC) index score of <3. This study was designed to appraise the magnitude of the disease among adolescents in northern Nigeria.

Objectives: The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of dental caries, dental trauma, gingivitis and oral hygiene scores in street-children.
Introduction: The study determined the proportion of adolescents and young persons (AYP) in Nigeria who use e-cigarettes and smoke tobacco; and identified factors associated with the use of e-cigarettes and tobacco smoking.
Methods: AYP aged 11-23 years were recruited to participate in an online survey. The independent variables were respondents' health, HIV and COVID-19 status and their level of anxiety.
COVID-19 infection is associated with oral lesions which may be exacerbated by tobacco smoking or e-cigarette use. This study assessed the oral lesions associated with the use of e-cigarettes, tobacco smoking, and COVID-19 among adolescents and young people in Nigeria. A national survey recruited 11-23-year-old participants from the 36 States of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This study aimed to assess the knowledge of dental healthcare providers in Nigeria about the disease and evaluate their responses to the preventive measures necessitated by COVID-19.
Methods: This was an online self-administered questionnaire-based study conducted among dentists practicing in Nigeria.
Background: Anterior dental trauma is known to be common in our environment as well as the complications that come with it. These injuries have been seen to impact the quality of life (QoL) of children significantly due to the fact that they compromise their dental health. This leads to aesthetic, psychological, social, and therapeutic problems impacting both the children and their parents.

Background: Oro-facial fascial space infection is known to be a clinical presentation of neglected dental care. The proportion of children with dental sepsis has also been known to increase markedly with caries experience. Such fascial space infection in the paediatric age group is known to progress rapidly within a short period and is thus potentially more fatal than in the adult population.

Methodology: This was a secondary data study extracted from primary data through a school-based study that recruited students from primary and secondary schools in a suburban population in Nigeria. The variables included age, gender, socio-economic status, oral hygiene status, type of parenting, birth rank, family size and presence of dental caries.
Background: One of the goals of the World Health Organisation goal is to ensure increased uptake of preventive oral self-care by 2020. This would require the design public health programmes that will ensure children place premium on preventive oral health care uptake. One effort in that direction is the need for countries to define baseline measures on use of preventive oral self-care measures by their population as well as identify factors that impact on its use.
