Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) is a significant challenge in psychiatric practice, affecting a substantial proportion of patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). Traditional treatment modalities often fall short, necessitating the exploration of alternative therapies. This literature review examines the combined use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and ketamine in treating TRD.

Objective The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between wearable device (WD) use and physical activity (PA) levels among US adults with self-reported depression and anxiety. Methods Data were pooled from 2026 adults who self-reported depression and anxiety from the 2019 and 2020 Health Information National Trends Survey. The explanatory variable was WD use, and the outcomes were weekly PA levels and resistance strength training.

Race-, Age-, and Gender-Based Characteristics and Toxicities of Targeted Therapies on Phase I Trials.

Background: The impact of age-, gender-, and race-based differences on safety and efficacy in phase I clinical trials has not been well studied.

Methods: We analyzed data from phase I clinical trials evaluating targeted biologic agents in patients with advanced solid malignancies. Race and gender distribution of enrolled patients was compared to the referral population demographics at the city, metro, and state levels.
