The present work focuses on the development of a new electrochemical platform based on CoMnO-rGO/1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride modified carbon paste electrode (CoMnO-rGO/IL/CPE) for electrochemical determination of pethidine in the presence of biological species. For the first time, the electrooxidation mechanism of pethidine in presences of morphine and olanzapine is investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technologies. The as-synthesized CoMnO-rGO nanocomposites are characterized by physicochemical measurements such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR).

The GO was incorporated into PVA-SA nano-fiber and film matrixes, and the performance of these nano-composites as drug carriers was investigated. The effects of production method (film or mat) and GO amount on the water absorption properties and delivery of curcumin behaviors were investigated.

UV photodecomposition of azidomethyl methyl sulfide (AMMS) yields a transient -methylthiaziridine which rapidly evolves to -methyl--sulfenylmethanimine at 10 K. This species was detected by infrared matrix isolation spectroscopy. The mechanism of the photoreaction of AMMS has been investigated by a combined approach, using low-temperature matrix isolation FTIR spectroscopy in conjunction with two theoretical methods, namely, complete active space self-consistent field and multiconfigurational second-order perturbation.

Reduction-responsive biodegradable micelles were prepared by linking of poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(ε‑caprolactone) with disulfide bond (PEG-SS-PCL) for co-delivery of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles (NPs) and an anticancer agent, doxorubicin (DOX). This amphiphilic diblock copolymer shows redox-responsive properties, which is arising from disulfide bonds throughout the main chain. The ability of these copolymers for self-assembly with oleic acid modified SPIONs can help to organize nanomicelles in aqueous solution.

Two conditions are important to obtain appropriate substances for hydrogen storage; high surface area and fitting binding energy (BE). Doping is a key strategy that improves BE. We investigated hydrogen adsorption onto twenty six nitrogen disubstituted isomers of sumanene (CNH) by MP2/6-311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6-31+G(d) and M06-2X/6-31+G(d) levels of theory.

Nucleus independent chemical shift (NICS) criterion was used to gauge the amount of aromaticity in a lot of publications in two last decades. Non-planar molecules with many polygons in different sheets that make angle together have not been studied by this criterion. Perhaps, one ascribes this deficiency to NICS index, but we think it is concern to depauperation in evaluation methods.
