Amateur dubbing as a healthcare activity in the pediatric hospital setting: a pilot project.

Background: Dubbing is a mode of audiovisual translation (AVT) usually performed by experienced dubbing actors for professional purposes. Nowadays, thanks to advances in technology, everybody can create personal dubbed versions of audiovisual content for humorous and parodic as well as therapeutic and pedagogical purposes. The aim of this pilot project was to investigate the potential and applicability of amateur dubbing within the hospital setting, targeting children and adolescents.

Fear of being laughed at in Italian healthcare workers: Testing associations with humor styles and coping humor.

Humor is a strategy that healthcare workers can use to help patients cope with stress and manage complex situations. However, people differ in how they deal with laughter. Our aim was to investigate gelotophobia (fear of being laughed at) among healthcare professionals and its relationships with humor styles and inclinations to use humor for coping.

[Use of radioisotopes in the evaluation of coronary disease].

A study on myocardial perfusion through scintigraphy with 201-Tl has been carried on in a group of 57 persons: among them 45 had myocardial infarction and 12 had myocardial ischemia in act. In consideration of this experience, the myocardial scintigraphy with 201-Tl seems to be a valid investigation method to support the electro-vectocardiography when evaluating, bloodlessly, ischemical cardiopathies. In general, the correlation between electro-vectorcardiographic and scintigraphic data has been satisfactory.

[The significance of the radioimmunological of serum myoglobin in myocardial infarction].

The Authors carried on a study in a group of 31 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The controled particularly the following dates: myoglobinemia (MG) with RIA and myocardial necrosis enzymes with traditional methods. Blood has been drawn from patients every 90 min, during the first 8 h of admission and every 4 h during the following 4 days.

[Possible correlations between kidney movement and hypertension (author's transl)].

The authors report the first data relating to their research carried out with the intention of showing the possible correlations between pathological kidney movement and so-called essential hypertension. The study of the kidneys has been carried out with 99mTc-DMSA, using multiple projections both in upright and prone positions. Furthermore, the appropriate renogram has been carried out for each patient.
