Major depressive disorder (MDD) and diabetes mellitus (DM) remain among the most prevalent diseases and the most significant challenges faced by medicine in the 21st century. The frequent co-occurrence and bidirectional relationship between the two conditions necessitates the identification of treatment strategies that benefit both. The purpose of this study was to systematically review and meta-analyze data on the efficacy and safety of agomelatine (AGO) in the treatment of patients with depression with comorbid diabetes to explore its potential mechanism of action in both diseases and its impact on diabetic parameters.

Introduction: Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder with an unclear etiology. Systemic inflammation and immune dysregulation may play a role in the pathogenesis of ADHD. Morphology-derived parameters such as neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR), have been proposed as peripheral biomarkers of the immune-inflammatory process in various diseases.

Assessment of factors influencing glymphatic activity and implications for clinical medicine.

The glymphatic system is a highly specialized fluid transport system in the central nervous system. It enables the exchange of the intercellular fluid of the brain, regulation of the movement of this fluid, clearance of unnecessary metabolic products, and, potentially, brain immunity. In this review, based on the latest scientific reports, we present the mechanism of action and function of the glymphatic system and look at the role of factors influencing its activity.

The aim of this study was to systematically summarize the available knowledge on this topic. Data from both preclinical and clinical studies were analyzed, considering the efficacy and safety of celecoxib in the treatment of mood disorders, as well as the correlation of inflammatory parameters with the effect of celecoxib treatment.

Analysis of the efficacy and safety of electroconvulsive therapy in elderly patients: a retrospective study in the Polish population.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to assess the efficacy and safety of electroconvulsive therapy in a population ≥ 65 years old.

Methods: The study was naturalistic, retrospective. The study group included 65 patients, women and men, hospitalized in the departments of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology and undergoing ECT treatment.
