In paediatric psoriasis, few studies have evaluated methotrexate effectiveness, adverse events and folic acid regimen. Therefore this study prospectively assessed methotrexate adverse events and effectiveness in paediatric patients with psoriasis in a real-world setting. Furthermore, gastrointestinal adverse events and methotrexate effectiveness were compared between folic acid regimens (5 mg once weekly vs 1 mg 6 times weekly).

Background: Vital sign measurements in hospitalized patients by nurses are time consuming and prone to operational errors. The Checkme, a smart all-in-one device capable of measuring vital signs, could improve daily patient monitoring by reducing measurement time, inter-observer variability, and incorrect inputs in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). We evaluated the accuracy of self measurements by patient using the Checkme in comparison with gold standard and nurse measurements.

The etiology of this disorder is unclear, although the histopathological presentation can be differentiated into a hyaline vascular variant, a plasma cell variant and a mixed variant. Clinically, it has been recorded that 3 manifestations of CD are characterized: a localized unicentric type, a generalized multicentric type and a mixed form.

Overall 5-year survival reached 41%. Overall 2-year survival rate for Stage IIB was 85% and Stage IIIB was 32%.

Whether this is linked with hypoxic conditions of the tumour or associated with tumour volume, blood loss or other conditions, is not yet known for certain. Patients with small head and neck tumours seem to form an interesting group to study this issue because several factors can be ruled out.

They were treated either with radiotherapy alone, sandwich therapy (pre- and postoperative radiotherapy) or by surgery followed by postoperative irradiation. Three hundred and sixty-six patients with glottic or supraglottic tumours could be analysed with respect to two different treatments, complications of treatment and some prognostic factors.
