Introduction: Previous consensus-based long COVID research has focused on establishing research priorities, developing clinical definitions, core outcomes and a list of recommendations of patient-reported outcome measures that can be used to assess and characterise long COVID. Complementing and extending this work, the proposed study will bring together diverse knowledge users to prioritise concepts of care, quality of life and symptoms to inform a national patient registry on long COVID.
Methods And Analysis: We will conduct a Delphi process involving Canadians with lived experiences and/or professional expertise with long COVID (including clinicians, policymakers, caregivers and community leaders).

Background: Smoking is well known for its harmful effect on the respiratory system, but whether vaping is less harmful is unknown. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the association of smoking/vaping habits with self-reported respiratory symptoms in vapers and cigarette smokers.
Methods: An online survey was developed and shared on different vaping and smoking social media platforms and communities.
Background: Individuals may experience a range of symptoms after the clearance of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. This condition is termed long COVID (LC) or Post-COVID-19 condition (PCC). Despite the appreciable number of symptoms documented to date, one key challenge remains in the robust characterization of LC outcomes.

Background: Body contouring surgery for the removal of the 11th and 12th ribs is undertaken for aesthetic appeal in female and transgender populations. The potential adverse effects of the surgery on lung function and respiratory muscle strength have not been previously studied. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effects of 'Ant-waist' surgery on lung function and respiratory muscle strength in individuals who had undergone surgery.

While in these conditions, robotics has clear benefits, it is unknown whether robotics will also enhance the outcome of cardiac rehabilitation. This systematic review evaluates the use of robotics in cardiac rehabilitation.

This study explored the experiences of independently mobile people who are affected by dyspnea in daily life.
Methodology: This was a cross-sectional mixed methods study that included an online questionnaire and semi-structured interviews.
: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third most common cause of death globally. Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) programmes are important to reduce COPD symptoms and improve the quality of life of people with COPD. Digital health interventions have recently been adopted in PR programmes, which allow people with COPD to participate in such programmes with low barriers.

Identifying knee pain that is attributed to PFP is not an easy job for healthcare professionals. To overcome this issue, The Survey Instrument for Natural History, Aetiology and Prevalence of Patellofemoral Pain (SNAPPS), which is a self-reporting questionnaire instrument, was designed to identify PFP in many languages.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented global changes, and disruptions in sleep quality have emerged as a challenge. The pandemic prompted a dramatic shift in the working landscape for university professors, necessitating emergency remote teaching (ERT).

Previous studies in older adults and other neurological populations demonstrated the relationship between sleep quality and gait performance.

Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 188 women with BC. The dependent variable, QoL, was measured using the Quality of Life Index (QLI-c).
The permeation enhancers (PEs) sodium caprate (C10) and sodium N-[8-(2-hydroxybenzoyl) amino] caprylate (SNAC) have been utilized for the intestinal and gastric delivery of macromolecules, respectively. However, the potential of C10 for the gastric delivery of a peptide and the ability of SNAC to deliver other peptides to the stomach beyond semaglutide have not been investigated. In this study, we have developed and evaluated C10 and SNAC-containing erodible tablets for the gastricdelivery of a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GIP/GLP1) dual agonist peptide (LY) in cynomolgus monkeys.

Methods: The study is cross-sectional and survey-based.
Purpose: The Pipeline Vantage flow diverter with Shield technology (PV) used in this study is a 4th-generation flow diverter (FD) designed to reduce thrombogenicity, promote endothelialization of the implant and increase efficiency in achieving aneurysm closure. In this study, we report the aneurysm occlusion rate, complication rate and clinical outcome with short-term dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in the treatment of unruptured intracranial saccular aneurysms using the PV.
Methods: We retrospectively identified patients treated between September 2021 and January 2023 with the PV and subsequently underwent short-term DAPT for 3 months.
Fear of falling (FOF) is highly prevalent in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) and contributes to high fall risk. Studies reporting on the relationship between falls, FOF, and non-motor factors such as cognitive function and sleep quality in Parkinson's disease are limited. This study aimed to investigate (1) the relationship of cognitive function and sleep quality with FOF, and history of falls in PwPD; (2) differences in cognitive function and sleep quality between Parkinson's disease fallers and non-fallers; and (3) a cut-off score for cognitive function and sleep quality to discriminate Parkinson's disease fallers from non-fallers.

This study aimed to translate and psychometrically validate the CR Barriers Scale in Arabic (CRBS-A), as well as strategies to mitigate them. The CRBS was translated by two bilingual health professionals independently, followed by back-translation.

Physiotherapy (PT) is a profession that includes education and close contact for long periods of time with patients for treatment sessions. Globally, smoking is prevalent and is expected to increase in the next decades; thus, smoking cessation (SC) is an important management strategy to mitigate further escalation. Little is known about PT practice in SC, and therefore, this study aimed to systematically review and discuss the published literature about the role of physiotherapists in smoking cessation management, opinions, and prevalence of SC counselling in physiotherapy practice; and to explore barriers towards smoking cessation counselling within physiotherapy practice.

However, the effect of C10 on the intestinal absorption of peptides with different physicochemical properties and its permeation-enhancing effect remains to be understood. Here, we evaluated the effects of C10 on intestinal absorption in rats with a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GIP-GLP1) dual agonist peptide (LY) and semaglutide with different enzymatic stabilities and self-association behaviors as well as the oral exposure of the LY peptide in minipigs.
