Successful immunosuppressive therapy is critical for liver transplantation. However, a considerable number of patients show clinical resistance to the therapy and experience rejection episodes, or alternatively exhibits serious adverse effects of drugs. We examined the in vitro response of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) to immunosuppressive drugs in cirrhosis patients awaiting liver transplantation.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Abuduxhukuer Mijiti"

  • - Abuduxhukuer Mijiti's research primarily focuses on immunosuppressive therapies in the context of liver transplantation, particularly examining the responsiveness of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in cirrhosis patients.
  • - In his 2007 study published in "Cell Transplant," Mijiti highlighted that a significant subset of cirrhosis patients exhibit increased sensitivities to immunosuppressive drugs, which is crucial for effective liver transplantation outcomes.
  • - The findings indicate that while some patients may display clinical resistance to immunosuppressive therapy, understanding the in vitro responses of PBMCs can help tailor personalized treatment approaches to minimize rejection episodes and adverse drug effects.
