Objectives: Influenza vaccination is important for healthcare workers in order to prevent both the illness itself and transmission to patients. Previous studies in Saudi Arabia have revealed low influenza vaccine coverage among healthcare workers due to misconceptions. This study aimed to assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding influenza vaccination among healthcare workers during 2021, addressing the current data gap.

Donepezil (DPZ) is used to treat Alzheimer's disease by increasing acetylcholine in the brain, necessitating precise analytical methods for its evaluation. This study aims to develop and validate a new turn-off fluorescence sensing method for quantifying DPZ, enhancing its evaluation in pharmaceutical formulations, quality control laboratories, and biological fluids. By leveraging the fluorescence-quenching interplay between DPZ and tetrabromofluorescein, the assay parameters were fine-tuned to enhance the development of an ion-associated complex.

COVID-19 is causing an insurmountable psychosocial impact on the whole of mankind. Marginalized communities, particularly those with substance use disorders (SUDs), are also likely to suffer from greater psychosocial burden.

This study aimed to map the factors influencing healthcare providers' deprescribing decision using the Behaviour Change Wheel framework and develop an innovative conceptual model to support deprescribing practice.
Methods: A cross-sectional online survey targeting doctors and pharmacists was conducted to assess the influence of various factors on healthcare providers' comfort in recommending deprescribing.
Rasagiline (RAS) is a medication for Parkinson's disease that increases dopamine levels in the brain by inhibiting monoamine oxidase, helping to alleviate symptoms. The proposed study aims to develop an efficient, feasible, and sensitive method for RAS assay, utilizing Pyrosin B dye, a convenient fluorescent ligand. Combining the RAS analyte with Pyrosin B ligand in a mildly acidic buffered solution rapidly quenches the native fluorescence of the ligand.

Materials and methods The three types of BAG - 45S5 bioglass (RIS), boron-substituted (RIB), and fluoride-substituted (RIF) - were incorporated with photoinitiated dimethacrylate monomers to create experimental resin infiltrants. ICON (CN; DMG-America, Ridgefield Park, NJ) and pure resin (PR) were used as control groups in this study.

This medication is specifically indicated for preventing blood clots post hip or knee replacement surgeries and in patients with a prior history of clots. Compared to warfarin, dabigatran serves as a viable alternative that does not necessitate routine blood monitoring tests.

Our objective is to analyse the risk factors for WHIPS development and provide a detailed neuroradiological description of these haemorrhages.
Materials And Methods: A radiology information system (RIS) was searched using the search terms "shunt" and/or "catheter" and/or "drain" and/or "ventriculoperitoneal" and/or "VP" between September 2008 to January 2021 for patients < 12 months of age.
Background: Children with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) resistant Kawasaki disease (KD) are at higher risk of developing coronary artery (CA) aneurysm. Early identification of high-risk patients using a predictive tool would allow for earlier interventions to prevent cardiac complications.
Methods: Children with KD who were admitted to five selected hospitals in Malaysia between 2008 and 2018 and received 2 g/kg of IVIG within 10 days from the onset of illness were included.

COVID-19 self-testing is essential for enabling individuals to self-care, screen themselves and, if positive, isolate themselves. Since 2021, COVID-19 self-tests have been extensively used in high-income countries, however, their programmatic implementation in low- and middle-income countries has been delayed. An implementation pilot, mixed-methods study, was conducted in four industrial manufacturing companies, in Kedah State between November 2022 and May 2023.

The active catalytic site of Lcps is buried inside the protein structure, thus raising the question of how the large hydrophobic rubber chains can access the catalytic center. To improve our understanding of hydrophobic polymeric substrate binding to Lcps and subsequent catalysis, we investigated the interaction of a substrate model containing ten carbon-carbon double bonds with the structurally characterized LcpK30, using multiple computational tools.

Yet, limited evidence exists on the effectiveness of family-systemic interventions in these contexts. We conducted a two-arm, single-masked, feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (fRCT) of a whole-family intervention with Syrian, Iraqi and Jordanian families in Jordan.

Eletriptan (ETR), a selective pharmaceutical agent agonist of the 5-hydroxytryptamine1 receptor subtype, are primarily used to treat acute migraine attacks. ETR is a triptan-class medication that works by narrowing cerebral blood vessels and reducing chemicals that produce headache pain, light and sound sensitivity, and nausea. Due to its effectiveness in reducing migraine symptoms, it is a worthwhile choice for those looking for quick and efficient treatment.

It has also been shown to facilitate synaptogenesis, neurogenesis, and neuroplasticity. However, its clinical efficacy has primarily been studied in the context of brain injuries, particularly stroke.

A typical drug used to treat Parkinson's disease is called rasagiline. It belongs to an assortment of drugs known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors, which function by raising dopamine levels in the brain. This work created a unique spectrofluorimetric method for the analytical assay of rasagiline for the first time.

In Malaysia, rice mutant varieties that are genetically altered to confer resistance against blast disease have been substantially developed through mutational breeding program. However, due to the limited accessible information on the mutant lines, mutant gene variants corresponding to the disease resistance and other useful agronomic traits are yet to be exploited. Here, we conducted whole genome re-sequencing of blast resistance with kernel elongation traits in mutant line, Mahsuri Mutant (87,639,446 bp raw reads), and its parental line, Mahsuri (85,156,783 bp raw reads) using Illumina Novaseq 6000 sequencing platform with 30x sequencing coverage.
