Comparison of the data of clinical-laboratory examination and study of the specific features of folliculogenesis and ovulatory disorders in patients with ovary (167) and adrenal (76) hyperandrogenia (OHA and AHA) was conducted. As a result of the research, a significant increase of LH, combined with the decreased level of FSH, is determined in the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, vs. the control group.

At the absence of genetic determination, significantly high indexes of premorbid are identified (infectious and viral diseases, surgical interventions into the area of pelvis minor, autoimmune processes). Menarche and the formation period are within the age norm limits; menstrual irregularities are characterized by the hypomenstrual syndrome.

The results of using new bactericidal suturing material, Etikon (Germany), in 534 urgent surgical gynecological interventions are analyzed. Employment of new dissolving surgical threads helped reduce threefold the incidence of postoperative complications and almost 1.5-times the mean hospital stay after surgery.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPharmacokinetic studies showed that endobronchial administration of benzylpenicillin and gentamicin to patients with acute and chronic pneumonia unlike intramuscular administration provided the antibiotic concentrations in bronchial secretions effective against middle sensitive and moderately resistant strains of microorganisms within 1-5 hours. Such concentrations maintained at the levels sufficient for inhibiting sensitive microflora growth for 24-36 hours with the use of benzylpenicillin and for 6 days with the use of gentamicin. This also lowered the risk of toxic complications.
