Absorbable hemostatic agents are commonly used in clinical practice and their imaging appearance is less known. In our case series, we demonstrate how absorbable hemostatic agents can masquerade as other clinically and medicolegally significant conditions such as gossypiboma and infected collections. Through our report, we aimed to describe the imaging features of absorbable hemostatic agents, to compare them with their imaging mimics, and provide a comprehensive review of the available literature.

These approaches are tested on benchmark data sets covering full valence spectra (first ionization potentials and some inner valence shell excitations). For small molecules, when comparing against state-of-the-art wave function techniques, our results show that full self-consistency in the scheme either systematically outperforms vertex-corrected or gives results of at least comparative quality.

This study investigates the PROMs used as primary and secondary outcomes in contemporary arthroplasty RCTs.
Methods: A literature search identified THA and TKA RCTs that were published in top ten impact factor orthopaedic journals from 2017 to 2021.
Case: A 15-month-old boy who was being followed for developmental dysplasia of the hip because of breech presentation was discovered to have a solitary infantile myofibroma in the left femoral neck. The patient was avoiding weight-bearing on the affected extremity; thus, stabilization of the femoral neck was performed using a proximal femur locking plate. Postoperatively, he achieved all gross motor developmental milestones.

Accurate modeling of the response of molecular systems to an external electromagnetic field is challenging on classical computers, especially in the regime of strong electronic correlation. In this article, we develop a quantum linear response (qLR) theory to calculate molecular response properties on near-term quantum computers.
