Management of a Persistent Radicular Cyst in the Maxillary Right Lateral Incisor: A Case Report.

A 32-year-old male patient presented with a chief complaint of ongoing endodontic treatment and swelling in the hard palate, specifically in the rugae region. On examination, a soft, non-tender, non-fluctuant swelling was observed between teeth #11 and #12, accompanied by radiographic evidence of periapical radiolucency and perforation. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans confirmed a well-defined radiolucency in the affected region, indicative of a radicular cyst.

Accuracy of an Electronic Apex Locator (EAL) in Measuring the Working Length of Root Canals in Comparison With Radiographs: An In Vivo Study.

Introduction: Traditionally, radiographs were used to assess the working length of root canals. However, the use of Electronic Apex Locators (EAL) may be a non-invasive alternative. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of the electronic apex locator (EAL) compared to radiographic measurements in determining the working length of root canals.

Management of a Radicular Cyst in Anterior Maxilla With Endosurgical Intervention Along With Use of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) and Bone Graft: A Case Report.

Radicular cysts are the most common cystic lesions that affect the jaws, which, though mostly asymptomatic, can be seen radiographically as an oval or pear-shaped unilocular radiolucency in the periapical region. Nonsurgical root canal procedures and periapical surgery followed by placement of bone substitute and bioceramic root-end filling material is generally the treatment of choice. This case report highlights the endosurgical management of long-standing trauma that led to a radicular cyst with respect to three maxillary anterior teeth in a young adult.

Anaesthetic Efficacy of Lidocaine and Articaine in Inferior Alveolar Nerve Block Combined with Buccal Infiltration in Patients with Irreversible Pulpitis.

Purpose: This prospective, randomized, double-blinded study was conducted to compare the anesthetic efficacy of 2% lidocaine with 1:200,000 epinephrine and 4% articaine with 1:200,000 epinephrine in inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) combined with buccal infiltration in patients with irreversible pulpitis.

Methods: Group I: Thirty patients received IANB of 2% lidocaine without buccal infiltration. Group II: Thirty patients received IANB of 2% lidocaine followed by buccal infiltration with 2% lidocaine.

Comparative Clinical Evaluation of Composite Overcast Gold Post and Core Buildups in Endodontically Treated Teeth.
