Purpose: To describe U-type sacral fracture characteristics amenable to percutaneous sacral screw fixation.
Methods: U-type sacral fractures were identified from a trauma registry at a level 1 trauma center from 2014 to 2020. Patient demographics, injury mechanism, fracture characteristics, and fixation construct were retrospectively retrieved.
Background: Functional muscle transfer (FMT) can provide wound closure and restore adequate muscle function for patients with oncologic extremity defects. Herein we describe our institutional experience with FMT after oncological resection and provide a systematic review and meta-analysis of the available literature on this uncommon procedure.
Methods: A single-institution retrospective review was performed, including all patients who received FMT after oncological resection from 2005 to 2021.
