The effect of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) on clinical outcomes after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is incompletely defined. We sought to determine the prevalence of OSA in patients with ACS and evaluate prognostic impact of OSA and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy in these patients. This was a prospective longitudinal cohort study of 73 patients admitted on cardiac intensive care unit for ACS.

Immunocytoma is a non-Hodgkin's indolent evolution B cell lymphoma. It accounts for approximately 1-3% of non-Hodgkin's limphomas and usually onsets in adults aged over 50 years old. It manifests as lymphadenopathy, splenomegaly, hepatomegaly and lymphcytosis in 15 -30% of cases and is rarely seen with pulmonary involvement.

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare disease of unknown etiology affecting woman, primarily in their reproductive years. It is characterized by non-neoplasic proliferation of atypical smooth muscle cells that may lead to airway, lymphatic and blood vessel obstruction over time.A nine-year followed-up case of LAM is described,which presents with some unusual details as worsening haemoptysis in the setting of pregnancy and absence of cough or pneumothorax along the course of the disease.

Exogenous lipoid pneumonia (ELP) is an infrequent pathology that results from the aspiration or inhalation of exogenous hydrocarbon. The acute form may be seen in cases of accidental aspiration of fatlike material traditionally described in fire-eaters. The authors present the case report of an acutELP in a 19 year-old patient, fire-eater, admitted at the Emergency Room after inhalation of petroleum.
