Background: During this study, six isolates of multiple antibiotic resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteria were obtained from different clinical specimens (burn swabs, urinary tract infections, wound swabs): three isolates from burns, two isolates from urinary tract infections, and one isolate from wound swabs. They were obtained from private laboratories in Baghdad from 1/1/2023 to 3/15/2023.

Method: The diagnosis of these isolates was confirmed using the Vitek2 device.

This study aimed to assess the protective effect of single and polyvalent antigens from cercarial antigen preparations (CAPs), soluble worm antigen preparations (SWAPs), and soluble egg antigens (SEAs) which were used as candidate vaccines in an experimental model of Schistosoma mansoni-infected mice. The efficiency of the antigens was tested by determining their effects on fecal egg count, egg viability analysis, and tissue egg counts.

Methods: Thirty-two wild-type male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to two groups (n=16 each), one raised on a soft diet (SD) and the other on a hard diet (HD). Body weights and three radiographs (lateral, dorso-ventral, and tibial X-rays) were taken at baseline (T1=23 days old) and every 2 weeks thereafter for 8 weeks (T5=79 days old).

The life cycle of Haplorchis pumilio (Looss, 1896) Looss, 1899 was repeated from cercariae emerging from Melania tuberculata snails; encysted metacercariae in Oreochromys niloticus and Gambusia ffinis fishes; and juveniles and adults in albino rats and ducklings. Detailed description of different stages included: (a) The presence of anterior and posterior bulb-like structure in the first generation of rediae. The anterior one is separated from the body by a spiny isthmus, and the posterior by a sharp constriction.
