Background: Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is a prevalent neurological disorder, especially among the elderly, where blood accumulates between the brain and its outer covering. The primary treatment for CSDH involves surgical intervention, such as burr-hole craniotomy, with or without irrigation of the subdural space. The efficacy of irrigation versus no irrigation in reducing recurrence, mortality, and postoperative complications remains debated.

This cannot be obtained with photon radiation. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aimed to comprehensively assess the risk of brainstem toxicity in pediatric brain tumor patients undergoing PBRT.

While magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is crucial for GBM management, distinguishing it from other lesions using conventional methods can be difficult. This study explores advanced MRI techniques better to understand GBM properties and their link to patient outcomes.

While corticosteroid medications are commonly used, their prolonged use presents risks. Statins, known for their immunoregulatory and anti-inflammatory properties, have emerged as potential alternatives.

The establishment of health-related behaviors in childhood, significantly influenced by parental involvement, underscores the need for effective intervention measures.
Aim: This original research is a systematic review and meta-analysis that aimed to investigate the impact of parental involvement on the prevention and management of childhood obesity, focusing on outcomes such as BMI z-score, exercise levels, screen time, dietary self-efficacy, and percentage body fat.
Background: Fontanelles, membranous gaps in the infant skull, are integral for accommodating the expansion of the skull by the growing brain postnatally. The anterior fontanelle, situated at the frontal-parietal bone intersection, typically closes gradually within the first two years. Fontanellar bone, an exceedingly rare ossification anomaly of the anterior fontanelle, clinically mimics craniosynostosis.

In response, enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols have emerged as comprehensive, evidence-based preoperative care pathways designed to optimize preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative management. These protocols incorporate various interventions, such as preoperative education, nutritional optimization, minimally invasive techniques, multimodal pain management, early mobilization, and patient engagement.

Endovascular interventions, like angioplasty and stenting, offer less invasive treatment options with potential benefits. This study, conducted in the Al-Ahsa region of Saudi Arabia from January to August 2023, aims to assess the impact of these interventions on PAD management in Saudi patients.

Cases of fall in this demographic have emerged as a significant health concern, especially in emergency room (ER) settings. Despite this, there is limited research on the causes and outcomes of such incidents.

While numerous studies have shown that obesity disrupts female fertility, the specific effects of obesity on the success rate of assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments in Saudi women have been less explored. This study aimed to delve into this gap, especially focusing on the correlation between BMI, ovarian reserve parameters, and ART outcomes among Saudi women.

In the United States, it's one of the primary causes of morbidity and mortality. European institutions report that about 1% of all emergency department admissions relate to poisoning, a statistic that becomes alarming given the life-threatening implications.

However, several factors may hinder individuals from accessing these services. This study aimed to identify the factors that deter Saudi citizens from receiving neurosurgical care, emphasizing perceived barriers and sociodemographic influences.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) has become the dominant surgical solution for treating various biliary conditions in affluent countries due to its numerous benefits, such as shorter hospital stays and reduced costs. An assessment of postoperative recovery, patient satisfaction, and quality of life (QoL) is crucial to judge the success of any medical procedure regarding long-term patient well-being.

Beyond identifying these challenges, the study explicitly aims to propose viable solutions that can alleviate the observed concerns.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among full practicing functional neurosurgery practitioners practicing in Saudi Arabia between January 2022 and March 2023.
This literature review explores recent advancements in deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery for movement disorders. It highlights notable improvements, including closed-loop stimulation techniques, optogenetics, and improved surgical targeting. Positive clinical outcomes with low complication rates and improved motor symptoms are consistently reported.

While the most common subtype is the aggressive diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, other subtypes exist, including focal brainstem gliomas and cervicomedullary gliomas. The prognosis for patients with brainstem gliomas is generally poor, and treatment options are limited.

Spontaneous resolution of EDH is an exceptionally rare occurrence, with only 16 cases reported in the medical literature where resolution occurred within 24 hours of onset. In this case report, we present a unique instance of a chronic EDH that spontaneously resolved over a period of seven months.
