Objectives: The objective of this study was to characterize the current oral medicine (OM) workforce by examining the distribution of OM diplomates (OMDs) across the Unites States and to determine the need for expanding access to care.

Study Design: The OMD access was calculated based on the OMDs per 10,000 state population from the 2020 US Census data as well as their distance from state capitals and most populated cities. OMD penetrance in hospitals and cancer centers was assessed at National Cancer Care Network (NCCN) cancer centers, and Best Hospitals as reported in the 2022 US News and World Report (USNWR).

Introduction: Soft tissue osteochondromas are rare benign tumors containing bone and cartilage that form in mesenchymal tissues with no connection to adjacent bone, cartilage, or periosteum. They mimic endochondral ossification and are usually encased in a fibrous tissue capsule. The occurrence of the tumor is extremely rare in the maxillofacial region.

Purpose: To investigate and compare the degree of Streptococcus mutans (SM) colonization before and after in vitro wear simulation on monolithic zirconia (MZ), lithium disilicate (LD), ceramo-metal (CM), and composite resin (CR) specimens.

Materials And Methods: Sixteen circular discs (10 × 3 mm) were fabricated for each group (MZ, LD, CR, CM). Half of the samples from each group (n = 8) were subjected to a wear cycle (n = 32 in total).
