Berberine, a well-known isoquinoline alkaloid derivative, has a varied range of pharmacological effects. Herein, we notice the radio-modulatory outcome of berberine in cultured ovarian cancer (SKOV-3) cells exposed to γ-rays as radiotherapy (RT). Cells pre-treated with berberine were irradiated by γ-irradiation and the liberation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was analyzed by flow cytometry.

Citrus fruits and juices have been studied extensively for their potential involvement in the prevention of various diseases. Flavanones, the characteristic polyphenols of citrus species, are the primarily compounds responsible for these studied health benefits.
