Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) Findings in a Patient With AIDS Cholangiopathy and Cryptosporidiosis.

AIDS cholangiopathy is a rare condition characterized by intra- and extra-hepatic ductal strictures causing biliary obstruction primarily in individuals with advanced HIV infection and low clusters of differentiation 4 (CD4) count. This case report presents a male patient with a history of HIV, poor adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART), and chronic cryptosporidiosis infection, who exhibited clinical and radiological findings consistent with advanced immunocompromise and AIDS cholangiopathy. The patient presented with respiratory symptoms, weight loss, renal dysfunction, and elevated liver enzymes.

Impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on children's oral health and caregiver's attitude towards Teledentistry: A Kuwait-based survey.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on children's oral health and caregiver's attitude towards teledentistry.

Material And Method: A questionnaire was distributed to 583 caregivers of children aged between 3 and 10 years through electronic messages, which consisted of nine multiple choice questions divided into three parts. The first part included demographic data (age, gender, and educational level); the second part addressed the assessment of oral health of children by their caregivers during the lockdown, the reason and influence of the pandemic on the oral health of children; and the third part was related to caregiver's attitude towards healthcare system and teledentistry.

Motion and volumetric change as demonstrated by 4DCT: The effects of abdominal compression on the GTV, lungs, and heart in lung cancer patients.

Purpose: Lung tumors move during respiration, complicating radiation therapy. The abdominal compression plate (ACP) is thought to reduce respiratory motion. This study quantifies ACP efficacy on respiratory-induced motion by using 4-dimensional computed tomography to evaluate volume and displacement changes of the heart, lungs, and tumor with and without ACP.

Background: Most people who quit smoking relapse within a year of quitting. Little is known about what prompts renewed quitting after relapse or how often this results in abstinence.

Purpose: This study seeks to identify rates, efficacy, and predictors of renewed quit attempts after relapse during a 1-year follow-up.

A novel syndrome of lethal familial hyperekplexia associated with brain malformation.

Background: Hyperekplexia (HPX) is a rare non-epileptic disorder manifesting immediately after birth with exaggerated persistent startle reaction to unexpected auditory, somatosensory and visual stimuli, and non-habituating generalized flexor spasm in response to tapping of the nasal bridge (glabellar tap) which forms its clinical hallmark. The course of the disease is usually benign with spontaneous amelioration with age. The disorder results from aberrant glycinergic neurotransmission, and several mutations were reported in the genes encoding glycine receptor (GlyR) α1 and β subunits, glycine transporter GlyT2 as well as two other proteins involved in glycinergic neurotransmission gephyrin and collybistin.
