Introduction: Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a rare infection of the central nervous system due to the reactivation of the John Cunningham polyomavirus. It is commonly a progressive fatal disease with worldwide distribution.

Case Report: We describe a rare case of PML, which was misdiagnosed as neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with a catastrophic outcome due to delay in diagnosis with superadded cyclophosphamide therapy.

Introduction Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects the central nervous system characterized by demyelinating lesions that are disseminated in space and time. Background Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is an invasive cancer that results from the malignant conversion and rapid replication of white blood cells and hematopoietic stem cells that supply multiple lymphocytes. Harmful gene mutations occur in more than two-thirds of patients with ALL; however, these mutations have not been extensively identified in Saudi Arabia.
