Introduction: Spinal cord injury is a major cause of lifelong morbidity and functional micturition problems. Some patients are refractory to the available therapeutics, even when used in combination. In this paper we report our results of using gabapentin as an add-on treatment in refractory overactive detrusor cases secondary to spinal cord injury.

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a disorder characterized by several biochemical mechanisms which may impair the brain functions in PKU, leading to neurological problems. Our case report concerns a 19 year-old man with phenylketonuria who was evaluated with the onset of stiffness following the abandonment of the phenylalanine-restricted diet. He was assessed with grade-4 spasticity according to Modified Aschworth scale.

One hundred and sixty men who had one of the systemic diseases or drugs which negatively affects bone metabolism were included in the study.
