Twenty-four patients completed this randomized, controlled, blinded clinical trial comparing ridge preservation with a membrane (acellular dermal matrix graft [ADMG]) vs no membrane on buccal overlay graft technique. An intrasocket corticocancellous allograft with a facial overlay xenograft was used for both groups, and an ADMG was used as a membrane with guided bone regeneration in the ADMG group (control group). In the No Membrane group (test group), ADMG was used to cover only the occlusal surface for graft containment, with no membrane on the buccal overlay graft.
