Background: Numerous studies have demonstrated the significance of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in the development of cancer metastasis. The expression levels of many lncRNAs are elevated in metastatic lung cancer patients compared to non-metastatic lung cancer patients.
Objectives: The primary objective of the study was to investigate the association between the expression levels of three lncRNAs (MALAT1, HOTAIR, and AFAP1-AS1) and lymph node metastasis (LNM) of lung cancer.
IFN-γ is an immunological modulator influencing IgG isotype and concentration, which present a correlate of protection to evaluate vaccine efficacy. As transiently expressed, stable genetic and epigenetic signatures of the cytokine's expression may exist. This study investigates correlation between plasma IFN-γ and anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG levels, seeking genetic polymorphisms and epigenetic variations within the IFN-γ gene proximal promoter.

Polymorphisms in the gene may alter viral binding, regulate the expression of ACE2, and thus, affect disease severity. In this study, 68 COVID-19 patients with varying degrees of severity and 40 healthy controls were enrolled.

Methods: In the present study, the seroprevalences and levels of plasma anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG were measured in children (n = 202), unvaccinated adults (n = 112), and vaccinated adults (n = 439) using quantitative ELISA.
Results: The overall seroprevalence in the three groups of the study participants were 58.
Dengue and Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) are mosquito-borne RNA viruses that can cause severe illness leading to death in the tropics and subtropics. Both of these viruses interact directly with the C-type lectin domain family 5, member A receptor (CLEC5A) on human macrophages which stimulates the release of proinflammatory cytokines. Since blockade of this interaction has been shown to suppress the secretion of cytokines, CLEC5A is considered a potential target for the development of new treatments to reduce virus-induced brain damage.

According to the combinations of mutations acquired, these variants are classified into lineages and greatly differ in infectivity and transmissibility. In 2021 alone, a variant of interest (VoI) Mu (B.

A total of 115 unrelated dengue patients with dengue fever (DF) (N = 91) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) (N = 24) were included in the study. All dengue patients were confirmed through detection of NS1 antigen, IgM, and IgG antibodies against the dengue virus.

Conserved coding sequence regions of 11 SARS-CoV-2 proteins were used to construct siRNAs through sampling of metadata comprising 214,256 sequences. Predicted siRNAs S1: 5'-UCAUUGAGAAAUGUUUACGCA-3' and S2: 5'-AAAGACAUCAGCAUACUCCUG-3' against RdRp of SARS-CoV-2 satisfied all the stringent filtering processes and showed good binding characteristics.

Since type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a metabolic disorder, mitochondrial dysfunction is intricately linked with the disease pathogenesis. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) variants are involved with functional dysfunction of mitochondrion and play a pivotal role in the susceptibility to T2D.

Thus, to prevent COVID-19 and control the outbreak, the development of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 is one of the most important strategies at present. The study aimed to design a multi-epitope vaccine (MEV) against SARS-CoV-2.

Taking into account its association with abortigenic events, possible modes of transmission, and future risk, immediate clinical measures are required to prevent widespread damage caused by this organism and hence this study. Here, a subtractive proteomics approach was employed to identify druggable proteins of .
