Biosensor architecture for enhanced disease diagnostics: lab-in-a-photonic-crystal.

A conceptual lab-in-a-photonic-crystal biosensor is demonstrated that can multiplex four or more distinct disease-markers and distinguish their presence and combinations simultaneously with unique spectral fingerprints.
