Objective: To devise a predictive model for estimating the requisite volume of the orbit in patients poised for resection of hyperostotic spheno-orbital meningiomas.
Material And Methods: The predictive regression model was conceived through the retrospective analysis of perioperative radiological data from 25 patients who initially underwent surgery at the Burdenko Neurosurgery Center for hyperostotic spheno-orbital meningiomas grade I. The model quality metrics were evaluated utilizing the performance library in the R programming language, including the Akaike Information Criterion, Bayesian Information Criterion, adjusted R-squared, Root Mean Squared Error, and Sigma.

High-frequency, high-power, and high-speed telecommunication in a complex environment promotes the development of dielectric materials toward a low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, good thermal properties, and long-term reliability. Here, polyimide/polytetrafluoroethylene (PI/PTFE) nanofiber membranes with an inherent super hydrophobicity, excellent dielectric properties, good thermal stability, and enhanced tensile strength were prepared via a simple electrospinning strategy and an imidization reaction. The obtained PI/PTFE membranes demonstrate a superlow average dielectric constant of 1.

Methods: This study comprised 216 patients (120 women and 96 men) hospitalized with a diagnosis of "CAD, unstable angina IIB class". The three-point risk of MACEs was assessed over 5 years: cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, and stroke.
Objective: This research aims to identify the association between the nine polymorphic variants (rs4961, rs699, rs4762, rs5186, rs1403543, rs1799998, rs5443, rs2070744, rs1799983) and the occurrence of hypertension and its clinical manifestations in the Uzbek population.
Methods: The study included 227 individuals, comprising 179 patients with hypertension and 48 controls. Clinical parameters such as age, weight, blood glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein and high-density lipoprotein, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, pulse wave velocity, left ventricular mass, and microalbuminuria levels were identified.
Plant-based edible vaccines that provide two-layered protection against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) outweigh the currently used parenteral types of vaccines, which predominantly cause a systemic immune response. Here, we engineered and selected a transgenic tomato genotype (TOMAVAC) that stably synthesized an antigenic S1 protein of SARS-CoV-2. Two-course spaced force-feeding of mice with ≈5.

Objective: The modern concept of resection of hyperostotic craniofacial meningiomas involves the desire for one-stage surgery with excision of tumor and simultaneous extensive skull defect closure.
Material And Methods: The authors present skull defect closure with an individual implant after resection of cranioorbital meningioma in a 61-year-old man. The neoplasm was accompanied by exophthalmos and eyelid edema.

Objective: To conduct a quantitative analysis of orbit volume at different stages of preparation and surgical treatment of patients with cranio-orbital meningiomas undergoing resection with simultaneous orbital wall reconstruction using 3D modeling and 3D printing technologies.
Material And Methods: A prospective cohort non-randomized study included 24 patients with cranio-orbital meningiomas. The volumes were measured by segmenting the orbital structures using the planimetric method in the Inobitec PRO software package.

Objective: To assess the distribution of PCSK9 E670G genetic polymorphism and PCSK9 levels in patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HeFH), based on the presence of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
Methods: The study included 201 patients with chronic CAD, including those with HeFH (n=57, group I) and without it (n=144, group II). DLCN was used to diagnose HeFH.
Following meningioma removal, there are numerous methods available for reconstructing the orbital wall. This systematic review seeks to summarize the published data on the surgical treatment of cranioorbital meningiomas, and to analyze the effectiveness and safety of various techniques and materials used for the reconstruction of bony orbital walls. We conducted a search of the two databases and included original articles with a series of 10 or more cases.

Modern surgical techniques and technologies make it possible to perform operations with a low risk of complications. Lumbar drainage or repeated lumbar punctures are often used intraoperatively or in the early postoperative period to prevent nasal CSF leak; this rarely leads to the development of significant neurological symptoms.

Unlabelled: Dural defect closure after resection of cranioorbital meningiomas has its own specifics. Extended malignant lesions and common large bone defects involving various anatomical regions require multiple implants or implants with complex geometry. The features of this stage of reconstruction were described in the previous issue of the Burdenko Journal of Neurosurgery.

Unlabelled: Sphenoorbital meningiomas (SOM) are a subgroup of skull base tumors with soft tissue component in the orbit and anterior and/or middle cranial fossa. According to different authors, SOMs account for 2-12% of all intracranial meningiomas. Reconstruction of bone defects after resection of SOM has own nuances.

Our current study concentrates genetic diversity of SARS-CoV-2 variants in Uzbekistan and their associations with COVID-19 severity. Thirty-nine whole genome sequences (WGS) of SARS-CoV-2 isolated from PCR-positive patients from Tashkent, Uzbekistan for the period of July-August 2021, were generated and further subjected to further genomic analysis.

Material And Methods: A retrospective multiple-center open study included 1983 patients who underwent internal carotid artery (ICA) repair for severe stenosis between 2010 and 2021. Three groups of patients were distinguished depending on revascularization option: group 1 (=638) - eversion CEE; group 2 (=351) - CEE with patch repair; group 3 (=994) - CAS.
In this work, we investigated the behavior of cholesteric droplets with homeotropic boundary conditions experimentally and by computer simulations. Small droplets forming twisted radial structures were studied. We obtained two different paths of structural transformations under electric field in such droplets.

However, the pathogenetic association of the SARS-CoV-2 viral load (VL) level with fatal dysfunctions of the lungs, liver, kidneys, heart, spleen and brain, as well as with the risk of death in COVID-19 patients remains poorly understood. SARS-CoV-2 VL in the lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, brain, spleen and lymph nodes have been measured by RT qPCR using the following formula: N/N 100.
