Purpose: To investigate the distribution of macrophage-like cells (MLCs) across different stages of posterior vitreous detachment (PVD).

Methods: A total of 168 eyes from 168 subjects were included. MLCs were imaged by acquiring en face OCT images at depths of 5 to 10 µm on the inner limiting membrane, as well as using B-scan OCT.

Purtscher-like retinopathy and paracentral acute middle maculopathy associated with improper antihypertensive drug use: a case report.

Background: Purtscher-like retinopathy (PLR) is a rare retinal microangiopathy with unclear pathogenesis. Paracentral acute middle maculopathy (PAMM) is an optical coherence tomography (OCT) sign proposed in recent years, which is characterized by infarction of the middle layer of the retina. This article reported a rare case of PRL and PAMM probably related to improper antihypertensive drug use in a middle-aged male.

Currently, a comprehensive assessment of the relationship between ideal cardiovascular health (CVH) indicators and cataract risk is lacking. Life's Essential 8 (LE8) is the latest concept proposed by the American Heart Association to comprehensively reflect CVH status.
