Liposarcoma is the most common type of soft-tissue sarcoma and typically occurs in the extremities or retroperitoneum. Primary liposarcoma of the pancreas is exceedingly rare, with only 10 cases reported since 1979. We present a patient who was incidentally discovered to have a pancreatic mass on imaging, which was ultimately diagnosed as dedifferentiated pancreatic liposarcoma.

Background: The utility of combination rectal NSAID and topical epinephrine (EI) or rectal NSAID and normal saline (SI) sprayed on duodenal papilla in the prevention of post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) has been studied but results have been conflicting.

Aims: To evaluate the benefit of using combination prophylaxis in preventing PEP.

Methods: A literature search was performed using Scopus, PubMed/MEDLINE, and Cochrane databases in May 2021.

Incidence of Post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) ranges from 1 % to 10 % in unselected patients and as high as 25 % to 30 % in high-risk patients. Rectal indomethacin administered before or immediately after an ERCP and prophylactic pancreatic duct stent placement (PPS) are associated with a reduction in the incidence of PEP. We sought to investigate the utilization rate for prophylactic rectal indomethacin and PPS in average and high-risk patients undergoing ERCP between 2014 and 2019.

Gastrointestinal ulcers and perforations can occur as a complication of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). Emerging endoscopic technologies can be utilized to successfully intervene perforations that fail surgical intervention. We report a case of perforated duodenal ulcer that failed surgical intervention and, however, was successfully closed with over-the-scope clip (OTSC) closure with concomitant placement of fully covered stent.

Objectives: The American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation's Choosing Wisely initiative has identified the routine use of stress cardiac imaging among lower-risk patients as an expensive test that should be questioned by both physicians and patients. The objectives of this study were to determine how often patients hospitalized for chest pain are assessed with stress electrocardiography (stress ECG) compared with radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging (rMPI) and to evaluate whether the cardiac testing guidelines of the American Heart Association and the Choosing Wisely campaign are being followed. We also sought to determine whether there were differences in practice patterns between a teaching and a nonteaching hospital service.

Patients with a diagnoses of cirrhosis and at least one feature of decompensation were included.
