Organisms Causing Postoperative Implant Infection in Orthopedic Patients Presenting at a Tertiary Care Hospital.

Introduction Infections pose a significant challenge in orthopedics related to implant failure. In orthopedic surgeries, surgical site infections (SSIs) extend the patient's hospital stay by an average of two weeks and also increase morbidity, double hospitalization rates, and triple the financial burden on the patient. This study aims to determine the common organism in patients with postoperative implant infections presenting at a tertiary care hospital.

Predictive Value of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Scores for Mortality in Patients With Hip Fracture: A Retrospective Cohort Study.

Objective To assess the predictive value of three scoring systems, namely the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification, the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS), and the Nottingham Hip Fracture Score (NHFS), in predicting mortality among patients with hip fractures.
