To assess the impact of the SARS-CoV-2 booster dose on the immune response against COVID-19, we conducted a cross-sectional study in the Casablanca-Settat region of Morocco. The study included 2,802 participants from 16 provinces, all of whom had received three doses of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. IgG antibodies targeting the S1 RBD subunit of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein were quantified using the SARS-CoV-2 IgG II Quant assay and measured on the Abbott Architect i2000SR instrument.

Serial blood samples were collected over a single-dosing interval during ECMO. Total plasma concentrations were measured by a validated chromatographic assay.

This study aimed to evaluate the ameliorating effect of topical application of hyaluronic acid (HA) with or without grapefruit seed extract (GFSE) (5, 10, and 15 wt. %) in induced periodontitis in rats.

Patient outcomes rely on achieving target antimicrobial concentrations. In critically ill adults on extracorporeal support, suboptimal antimicrobial concentrations have been shown to be common.

Objectives: The purpose of this retrospective cross-sectional study was to evaluate the number, types, and frequency of MOT and to investigate the relative rate of malignant transformation in recurrent odontogenic tumors (OT).
Methodology: The records of patients diagnosed with OT in the hospital of the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, were reviewed over 10 years (2013-2022).

This prospective hospital-based study conducted in Tikrit City aimed to investigate the role of Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL ) and level of hemoglobin A1c and lipid profile concentrations in Metabolic syndrome (MetS) with hypertension and Diabetes mellitus (DM). Objective - estimate of serum Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin levels in Metabolic syndrome patients and the Control Group. The study included 60 patients with metabolic syndrome along with 30 healthy individuals as controls who were 18-50 years old; the samples were collected at a specific time (10 P.

The study aims to compare the prevalence of extra-pyramidal side effects (EPSE), sexual dysfunctions (SD) and hyperprolactinaemia (HPRL) among patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders on typical and atypical antipsychotic medications. The secondary aim is to determine if any associations exist between extra-pyramidal side effects, sexual dysfunctions and hyperprolactinaemia.

Methods: We systematically searched peer-reviewed randomized controlled trials (RCTs), prospective and retrospective cohort studies, and case-control studies that reported on VE in Africa.
Importance: There is uncertainty about whether prolonged infusions of β-lactam antibiotics improve clinically important outcomes in critically ill adults with sepsis or septic shock.
Objective: To determine whether prolonged β-lactam antibiotic infusions are associated with a reduced risk of death in critically ill adults with sepsis or septic shock compared with intermittent infusions.
Data Sources: The primary search was conducted with MEDLINE (via PubMed), CINAHL, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and ClinicalTrials.
Delivering COVID-19 vaccines with 4-6 weeks shelf life remains one of Africa's most pressing challenges. The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) leadership recognised that COVID-19 vaccines donated to many African countries were at risk of expiry considering the short shelf life on delivery in the Member States and slow vaccine uptake rates. Thus, a streamlined rapid response system, the urgent support mechanism, was developed to assist countries accelerate COVID-19 vaccine uptake.

We used an ex vivo adult ECMO model to measure ECMO circuit effects on concentrations of specific COVID-19 drug treatments. Three identical ECMO circuits used in adult patients were set up.

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages that are globally consumed. It consists of several phytochemical constituents, such as polyphenols, caffeine, and chlorogenic acid (CGA).

Medical students do not have a clear picture of plastic surgery as a career due to lacking scope, clinical practice, and understanding of plastic surgery as a clinical area of expertise, including general practitioners, nursing staff, medical trainees, and the general public, and misconceptions about the extent of reconstructive and plastic surgery. A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on Kuwait University Medical students (2nd-7th Years) over a period of 1 month.

In this study, we evaluated SARS-CoV-2 IgG positivity within a provincial cohort to understand the magnitude of the humoral response against the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine and to inform evidence-based public health decisions. A community-based cross-sectional seroprevalence study was conducted, involving 10,669 participants who received various vaccines (two doses for BBIBP-CorV/Sinopharm, Covishield vaccine, and Pfizer/BioNTech, and one dose for Johnson & Johnson's Janssen COVID-19 vaccine).

Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the patterns and correlates of hyperprolactinemia among patients with schizophrenia on antipsychotic medications.
Setting: The study was conducted in a psychiatric facility in Maiduguri, Northeastern Nigeria.
