Restorative dentistry often uses ceramic laminate veneers for aesthetic anterior teeth restorations due to their natural appearance and minimal invasiveness. However, the understanding of their clinical performance and how ceramic microstructure and processing affect longevity is limited. This study aimed to address this gap by determining the mechanical behavior, fracture load, and failure modes of CAD-CAM processed laminate veneers made of either lithium-disilicate-based glass ceramic (IPS e.

The baseline mass, gloss, roughness, Vickers hardness (Hv), and color were measured after 7 days of water storage.
This pilot study evaluated the immediate effect of different herbal solutions in oral use on the tensile strength of the sutures used in oral surgical procedures. Three frequently used suture materials, polyglactin 910 (PGA), poliglecaprone (PGCL), and polypropylene (PP), were chosen in a 4-0-gauge size. The sutures' tensile stress was evaluated before being immersed (baseline) and after immersion at 24 h, 1 week, and 2 weeks in four different media: artificial saliva, chlorhexidine, Commiphora myrrh, and frankincense.

This research aims to investigate the influence of model height employed in the deep drawing of orthodontic aligner sheets on force transmission and aligner thickness. Forty aligner sheets (Zendura FLX) were thermoformed over four models of varying heights (15, 20, 25, and 30 mm). Normal contact force generated on the facial surface of the upper right central incisor (Tooth 11) was measured using pressure-sensitive films.

However, the effect of aging in artificial saliva of this type of material has not been explored. To assess the physical and mechanical properties of the two types of 3D-printed materials before and after being subjected to artificial saliva, a total of 219 acrylic resin specimens were produced.
