ABO discrepancies in plasma cell myeloma (PCM) present unique challenges in blood typing tests and transfusion management. We present the case of a 51-year-old male with PCM who exhibited discrepancies between forward and reverse blood grouping. Further investigation revealed that the patient's blood type was a variant of blood group B.

Assessing the intention to use ICD-11 and factors influencing it is imperative to encourage the use of ICD-11 among the medical record officers (MROs) and assistant medical record officers (AMROs). This study aims to develop and validate a questionnaire on the factors influencing the intention to use ICD-11 among MROs and AMROs in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

For Muslim consumers, a primary concern revolves around the halal status of cultivated meat, given the pivotal role of adhering to a halal diet as a divine obligation in their lives. Therefore, this article seeks to systematically review the existing literature on cultivated meat from an Islamic perspective as articulated by Muslim scholars, whether these perspectives are issued by an established fatwa organisation or representations of personal views.

However, the electrical contact between XSiN and metals remains a mystery. In this study, we inspect the electronic and transport properties, specifically the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and tunneling probability, of XSiN-based van der Waals contacts by means of first-principles calculations.

The fluid-induced vibration is often the cause of structural fatigue in pipes and therefore piping vibration need to be closely monitored. In case of high piping vibration, knowledge of the natural frequency of a pipe section is crucial for an engineer to propose the right troubleshoot action, either for a temporary or even for a long-term solution for the piping vibration.

This is particularly due to their ability to confer antibacterial and UV protection properties to fabrics. In this study, the dyeing properties of Linn extract, alone and mordanted, were evaluated on blended wool/acrylic and silk fabrics, along with an assessment of their antibacterial and UV protection characteristics.

Cerium nitrate Ce(NO) and zinc nitrate Zn(NO) were used as precursors. The prepared nanostructures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV-vis).

Electrochemical capacitors, particularly electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs), show promising performance due to their superior properties. However, the presence of resistance limits their performance.

Developing composites with heterogeneous distribution can achieve strong and wide electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption. However, challenges such as complex design and unclear absorption mechanisms still exist.

Traditional treatment modalities such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy have significantly improved survival rates, but they are often accompanied by side effects and challenges that can impact a patient's quality of life. In recent years, the integration of essential oils into the management of cervical cancer has gained attention.

The lack of regulation and appropriate processing facilities has rendered these wastes an environmental hazard. However, they represent excellent alternative sources of precious metals, which are highly in demand in various industries.

In this context, this research focuses on assessing the impact of incorporating rice husk and wood flour into recycled high-density polyethylene (rec-HDPE) to analyze its mechanical properties, flammability, and thermal stability. The combined rec-HDPE content of wood flour and rice husk varied between 0% and 20%.

Depending upon the clinical stage at presentation, either chemotherapy, radiotherapy with or without surgical resection is the treatments in practice. Traditionally, open esophagectomy was performed but over time, the importance of minimally invasive esophagectomy has been established.

The review details various types of natural compounds such as gypenoside (GP), gypenoside XVII (GP-17), geniposide, berberine, dihydroquercetin (DHQ), and tilianin which identified to reduce MIRI in vitro and in vivo by regulating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. In this study, 14 research publications that met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were shortlisted.

In this study, we performed comprehensive transport, magnetic, structural, optical, and compositional as well as DFT studies of pristine, Li-doped, and Bi-Li codoped vertically aligned ZnO NW films to explore the mechanism and origin of ferromagnetism. We used a simple solution process to synthesize a wurtzite structure and vertically aligned ZnO NWs on a Si substrate.

Effective G6PD screening is paramount to avoid adverse drug reactions. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of novel quantitative point-of-care (POC) tests as a new screening method for G6PD deficiency in Malaysia.

Many Malaysian organisations have devised various crisis-response techniques, such as downsizing, laying off, retrenching, and combining. As a result, the number of Malaysians working in precarious jobs, which are defined by unpredictable and uncertain situations, has indirectly increased, hence increasing job insecurity.

Using 10-year longitudinal data for the period from 2010 to 2019 and 1,395 firm-year observations from listed non-financial firms in Bangladesh, we found that CEOs' political power and CEOs with high structural and expert power have a significant detrimental effect on earnings quality. Ownership and prestige power have an insignificant impact on earnings quality.

A high content of flavonoids and phenolic acids found in both honey and propolis contributes to the antioxidant properties to scavenge free radicals. Honey and propolis also exhibited antibacterial effects where they act in two ways, namely the production of hydrogen peroxide (HO) and gluconic acids following the enzymatic activities of glucose oxidase, which exerts oxidative damage on the bacteria.
