This case series describes the wide spectrum of clinical presentation, laboratory findings, and morbidity/mortality associated with dengue fever in hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients, treated in a dengue endemic region. The risk of acquiring viral infections increases manifold after transplant due to the severely immunocompromised state amid conditioning toxicity and immunosuppressive therapy. The classical warning signs of dengue viremia are often masked in posttransplant patients, leading to a missed diagnosis of dengue and grave consequences observed in some of the patients.

The current study aimed to evaluate their phytochemical screening, antioxidant activity, phagocytic activity, and analgesic activity. Both the plant extracts were investigated for phytochemical screening, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis, antioxidant by 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method, immunomodulatory activity by macrophages phagocytosis using carbon clearance rate assay and analgesic activity by acetic acid produced writhing method.

In this study, the antioxidant activity (DPPH scavenging and reducing power), anti-inflammatory activity (RBC Membrane Stabilization and 15-LOX inhibition), and anticoagulation activity (Serin protease inhibition and Prothrombin Time assays) of the methanolic extract of amla were conducted. Amla exhibited a substantial amount of phenolic content (TPC: 663.

The synthesized molecules were then investigated for their antiproliferative, antimicrobial, and antioxidant potential. The cytotoxicity screening studies revealed that analogues D-1, D-6, D-15, and D-16 possessed comparable efficacy, within the IC range (1 to 7 μM), when taking doxorubicin as a reference drug (IC = 0.

Various substituted azetidin-2-one derivatives have been identified as immunostimulating and antimicrobial, as well as their antioxidant activity. 2-amino 1,3,4 oxadiazole/thiadiazole conjugates were synthesized by mixing semi/thio carbazides and sodium acetate with water and stirring well, followed by adding aldehydes in methanol at room temperature.

This condition has a higher prevalence in Western and developed countries. Inadequacy of the valves results in reflux of blood in the veins of the lower leg.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are a potent source for obtaining tumor-reactive T cell receptors (TCRs). Although comprehensive methods to analyze the TCR repertoire in TILs have been reported, the evaluation system for TCR-reactivity to endogenously expressed antigen in tumor cells remains laborious and time consuming. Consequently, very limited numbers of TCRs in TILs have been analyzed for their reactivity to tumor cells.

Swiss albino mice (male) were fed orally with hydroalcoholic extract at different doses 50, 100, and 200 mg 1 hour prior to test with the standard diazepam and fluoxetine. Anxiolytic and antidepressant activities were evaluated by using open field, elevated plus maze, force swimming, and tail suspension test.
