Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence rates of hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections among hemodialysis (HD) patients as well as to identify associated risk factors.

Methodology: A multicenter cross-sectional study involved patients who had been on HD for at least three months. The study was conducted at five HD centers in Damascus, Syria from August 2019 to September 2021.

In this work we describe the preparation and characterization of lecithin-chitosan nanoparticles (LC), and investigate their ability to deliver the anti-epileptic drug phenytoin (PHT) to mouse brain following intranasal (IN) administration. LC were retained in the nasal cavity compared to PHT in PEG200 solution (PHT/PEG), which suffered immediate nasal drainage. Introduction: Although many techniques, such as complexation and microencapsulation, are used to mask the unpleasant taste of drugs, the success of all masking processes is evaluated in the same way.
