Didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide (DDAB) is a quaternary ammonium compound used for the sanitation of drinking water of poultry and water pipelines in farms. There is scarcity of information on the toxicology of DDAB in poultry. This study set out to profile the acute toxicity of DDAB in poultry.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral disease caused by a novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that affects the respiratory system of infected individuals. COVID-19 spreads between humans through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The COVID-19 outbreak originated in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019.

Public Awareness and Perceptions of Radiotherapy and Their Influence on the Use of Radiotherapy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Purpose: Misconceptions associated with radiotherapy (RT) may affect the patient's choice to undergo or not undergo RT. In this study, the level of awareness and perceptions about radiation and RT, as well as their impact on the use of RT, were assessed.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in the city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, between November 2018 and March 2019.

Infrared and Raman spectra of triacetoxyvinylsilane, aqueous sol-gel and xerogel.

Triacetoxyvinylsilane (TAVS) has been used as a precursor to prepare sol-gel under aqueous conditions. The sol-gel product has been applied for the surface treatment of aluminum. Infrared and Raman spectra have been collected for TAVS and for TAVS sol-gel, xerogel and sol-gel-coated aluminum.

Spectroscopic studies of triethoxysilane sol-gel and coating process.

Silica sol-gels have been prepared under different conditions using triethoxysilane (TES) as precursor. The prepared sol-gels have been used to coat aluminum for corrosion protection. Vibrational assignments have been made for most vibration bands of TES, TES sol-gel, TES sol-gel-coated aluminum and xerogel.
