Pauci-immune glomerulonephritis is a rapidly progressive form of glomerulonephritis. It is distinguished from other rapidly progressive glomerular diseases by the lack of immune deposits seen on renal biopsy, hence the name "pauci-immune." We present a case of pauci-immune glomerulonephritis in a patient with a history of malignancy that was treated with chemotherapy.

Introduction: Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) slows disease progression among patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), yet not all patients receive this standard-of-care medication. Our study aims to identify reasons why PBC patients did not receive the recommended UDCA treatment.

Methods: Using medical record data collected by the Fibrotic Liver Disease (FOLD) Consortium for 2006-2016, we identified PBC patients from a single site with no UDCA therapy record.

Objective: To analyse the characteristics of research published from Pakistan on paediatric critical care medicine.

Methods: The exploratory study was conducted at the Aga Khan University, Karachi from July 2021 to March 2022, and comprised a comprehensive search on MedLine, Google Scholar and PakMediNet databases for literature from Pakistan pertaining to paediatric critical care medicine published between January 2010 and December 2021. The search was done using appropriate key words.

Lates calcarifer (Bloch) is a potential candidate fish species for culture in marine and brackishwater. A continuous gill cell line was derived from L. calcarifer by the explant culture method and has been passaged for 132 times, in Leibovitz's L-15 medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) at 28 °C.

Aside from statutory requirements, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) hardly take into consideration reliable accounting systems. Therefore, poor and ineffective bookkeeping has contributed to the collapse of some SMEs. This paper examines the intervening role of owners' accounting skills in the relationship between bookkeeping practices and the performance of SMEs in the Ho Municipal Assembly of Ghana using a sample of 296 SMEs.

Background: Periodontal phenotype is regarded to be one of the key factors influencing the efficacy of restorative therapies in dental practice. The objective of the systematic review was to explore the importance of thin and thick periodontal phenotypes and how they affect the outcome of periodontal and restorative therapies by looking at a number of academic publications from various online databases.

FTIR, CHN, DSC, XRD, SEM, TEM and optical microscope studies were performed for native and modified starches. Powder rearrangements, cohesiveness and flowability were studied by the Kawakita plot.

The Analysis of Facio-Dental Proportions to Determine the Width of Maxillary Anterior Teeth: A Clinical Study.

The present study aimed to analyze mid horizontal facial third proportions, those being the interpupillary, inner intercanthal, and bizygomatic distance modified with golden proportion, The Preston proportion, golden percentage and 70% recurring esthetic dental proportion were used for determining maxillary anterior teeth width. A total of 230 participants took part in this study. The front dental and facial photographs along dental stone cast which were converted to three-dimensional (3D) models were used for evaluation.

This study aimed to analyze the existing literature on how artificial intelligence is being used to support the identification of cephalometric landmarks. The systematic analysis of literature was carried out by performing an extensive search in PubMed/MEDLINE, Google Scholar, Cochrane, Scopus, and Science Direct databases. Articles published in the last ten years were selected after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Dental anxiety is one of the most common conditions present amongst the masses globally. It is this fear that makes individuals avoid seeking dental treatment which results in a deteriorated oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). Citric acid esterified Glutinous Assam bora rice starch enhances disintegration and dissolution efficiency of model drug.

The current work was designed to study the starch's physicochemical attributes, tablet disintegration and dissolution efficiency and its derivatives obtained from the glutinous Assam bora rice (G-ABR) variety of Assam, Northeast India. Starch was isolated by a simple protein denaturation method, and a starch derivative was prepared through citric acid modification. G-ABRS and citrated G-ABRS were characterized through FTIR, DSC, XRD and SEM.

Aims: To evaluate the clinical and biochemical peri‑implant parameters using chloro‑aluminum phthalocyanine-(CAP) mediated antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (PDT) as an adjunct to non-surgical mechanical debridement (NSD) in cigarette smokers (CS) and never-smokers (NS) with peri‑implantitis.

Materials And Methods: Thirty-two patients with peri‑implantitis [Group CS - 16 and Group NS - 16] were recruited for the trial. The study participants underwent two therapies: PDT + NSD and NSD alone.
