These methods typically involve various additives and entail several steps to create a green body that is capable of withstanding machining forces. Here, utilizing a single additive, we first introduced a facile benchtop method to generate self-standing, malleable doughs of alumina in under 2 min.

Effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Management of Breast Cancer Patients.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected breast cancer patients by causing delays in diagnosis and treatment processes. This study aims to investigate the effects of the pandemic on the treatment process and short-term outcomes of breast cancer patients. This retrospective, cross-sectional, single-center study included 414 patients who underwent surgery for breast cancer at the Inonu University General Surgery Clinic between March 2018 and June 2021.

Objectives: Awareness of vitamin D (vit D) deficiency or insufficiency has increased alongside the rising prevalence of allergic diseases worldwide. We aimed to evaluate vit D levels in infants with allergic proctocolitis (AP) to explore a possible relationship between AP and vit D status.

Methods: This prospective, observational, case-control study was conducted between January 2020 and December 2023, including infants aged 6 months and younger diagnosed with AP (AP group) and healthy infants of the same age (control group).

Genetic factors account for up to 50 % of neuropathies, which often display varied symptoms. Mutations in the IGHMBP2 gene are associated with both CMT2S and SMARD1, resulting in a rare clinical condition marked by axonal neuropathy, spinal muscular atrophy, respiratory distress, and muscle weakness.

Purpose: Although burnout among audiologists has been studied in various countries, there is no research yet that examines this issue in Türkiye, where working conditions and sociodemographic factors may differ from those in other countries. Considering the unique working conditions and sociodemographic factors, this study aimed to investigate the burnout levels of Turkish audiologists. Additionally, this study will explore the impact of various sociodemographic variables on burnout, work-related quality of life, and depression to gain a deeper understanding of the specific challenges faced by audiologists in Türkiye.

Background: Despite global efforts, HIV/AIDS remains a significant public health challenge, with Türkiye witnessing a consistent rise in annual diagnoses. Patient satisfaction with antiretroviral therapy (ART) is crucial for treatment adherence and effectiveness. This study examines treatment satisfaction levels among people living with HIV (PLWH) in Türkiye and identifies associated factors.

Exploring graphene's impact on graphite/PANI matrix composites: high-pressure fabrication and enhanced thermal-electrical properties.

This study investigates the effects of the graphene content and applied pressure on the electrical and thermal conductivities of graphite/polyaniline (GP) and graphite/graphene/polyaniline (GGP) composites produced direct mixing method. Based on the electrical and thermal conductivity results, 14 wt% graphene content was found to be the crucial threshold, beyond which extra graphene additions exhibited different behaviors in pressed and unpressed samples. While the electrical conductivity of the unpressed samples increased up to 14 wt% graphene addition, the thermal conductivity increased further after 14 wt% graphene addition.

Introduction: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired social interactions and repetitive behaviors. This study examines the effects of fenofibrate on a propionic acid (PPA)-induced rat model of ASD, focusing on behavioral changes, inflammatory markers, and histological findings.

Materials And Methods: Thirty male Wistar rats were divided into three groups: a control group, a group receiving PPA and saline, and a group treated with PPA and fenofibrate for 15 days.

Background: Many successful osteotomies have been reported for the treatment of acetabular dysplasia. However, triple pelvic osteotomy remains a technically challenging procedure with potential for significant complications. This study examined a series of Tönnis periacetabular osteotomy (TPAO) procedures performed using the modified Stoppa approach to treat acetabular dysplasia in adolescents.

Multimodality Imaging in Cardiomyopathies.

Cardiomyopathy, which is shortly defined as a disease of the myocardium, has a broad definition that includes many different diagnoses. Recent advances in cardiac imaging techniques, including basic and advanced echocardiography, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, and cardiac magnetic resonance, allow for a more accurate evaluation of volumes and thickness of cardiac chambers, systolic and diastolic function of the ventricules, and tissue structure. Multimodality imaging often provides the first clinical suspicion for specific etiologies, especially when the medical and family history is unclear, by identification of red flags of underlying systemic diseases.
