Background: Although higher-generation TKIs are associated with improved progression-free survival in advanced NSCLC patients with EGFR mutations, the optimal selection of TKI treatment remains uncertain. To address this gap, we developed a web application powered by a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm to assist in guiding initial TKI treatment decisions.
Methods: Clinical and mutational data from advanced NSCLC patients were retrospectively collected from 14 medical centers.
Importance: Increasing evidence supports the oncologic safety of de-escalating axillary surgery for patients with breast cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
Objective: To evaluate the oncologic outcomes of de-escalating axillary surgery among patients with clinically node (cN)-positive breast cancer and patients whose disease became cN negative after NAC (ycN negative).
Design, Setting, And Participants: In the NEOSENTITURK MF-1803 prospective cohort registry trial, patients from 37 centers with cT1-4N1-3M0 disease treated with sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) or targeted axillary dissection (TAD) alone or with ypN-negative or ypN-positive disease after NAC were recruited between February 15, 2019, and January 1, 2023, and evaluated.
Cataract surgery is the most frequently performed surgery worldwide. Although it is an effective surgical treatment option for improving patients' visual acuity, various complications can occur postoperatively. One such complication is the presence of retained lens material in the anterior chamber, which can lead to intraocular inflammation, increased intraocular pressure, corneal edema, and endothelial cell loss.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 132 patients who had undergone surgical intervention for mediastinal cysts and masses. Demographic, clinical, and histopathologic data were recorded.
Purpose: Patients with contralateral carotid artery occlusion (CCO) represent a subgroup of patients at risk for revascularization procedures. The choice of appropriate revascularization procedure (carotid endarterectomy (CEA) or carotid artery stenting (CAS)) in these patients is controversial. The aim of this study is to share the results of clinical and radiological follow-up after CAS in these patients and to contribute to the literature by evaluating the efficacy and safety of stenting.

Additionally, the prognostic value of TAM-related indices, such as the monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and monocyte-to-albumin ratio (MAR), was evaluated.
Methods: A retrospective cohort of 54 patients with locally advanced or oligometastatic NPC treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT), with or without induction chemotherapy, was analyzed.
The combined analysis of the retrospective multicentre and prospective multicenter cohort registry trial NEOSENTITURK MF18-02/18-03 (NCT04250129) investigated the outcomes and factors associated with recurrence in patients with cT1-4N1-3M0 who underwent a succesful sentinel lymph node biopsy or targeted axillary dissection (n = 1470), with or without axillary lymph node dissection (n = 937) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The present large registry data suggest that axillary recurrences (AR) can be detected at exceedingly low rates (< 0.5%) within 3 years after surgery.

Pheochromocytomas are potentially malignant and may manifest with vascular thrombi. We present the treatment of a patient with pheochromocytoma and tumor thrombosis of the renal vein and inferior vena cava. A thirty-eight-year-old male patient was admitted complaining of abdominal pain and headache.

Background: This study aims to identify factors predicting recurrence and unfavorable prognosis in cN+ patients who have undergone sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
Methods: The retrospective multi-centre "MF18-02" and the prospective multi-centre cohort registry trial "MF18-03" (NCT04250129) included patients with cT1-4N1-3M0 with SLNB+/- axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) post-NAC.
Results: A total of 2407 cN+ patients, who later achieved cN0 status after NAC and subsequently underwent SLNB, were studied.
Purpose: Pupillary contraction and dilatation are organized by the autonomic nervous system, which can also be affected by Graves' disease (GD). In this study, it was aimed to investigate the static and dynamic pupillary responses of Graves' patients in the hyperthyroid and euthyroid periods and to compare these results with the values obtained from healthy controls.
Methods: 48 eyes of 24 newly diagnosed Graves' patients with clinical activity score ≤ 2 and 46 eyes of 23 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were included in the study.
Introduction: Sestrin 2 is considered a stress-inducible antioxidant protein. This study was aimed to evaluate sestrin 2 in subjects with sepsis, and its correlation with clinical severity and mortality.
Methods: Sepsis and control group patients were followed from admission to discharge.

Trabeculectomy is a primary surgical procedure used to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma. Despite its effectiveness, it can lead to significant complications, including hypotony, choroidal effusion, blebitis, and bleb leaks. Bleb leaks require prompt medical or surgical intervention to prevent severe complications such as blebitis and bleb-associated endophthalmitis.

While polls indicated what consumers felt regarding COVID-19 vaccines, they did not provide an understanding of why they felt that way or the social and informational influences that factored into vaccine confidence and uptake. It was essential for us to better understand how information ecosystems were affecting the confidence in and demand for COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.

In individuals with sepsis, the second values of CRP and CRPv have been shown to have more importance than the first CRP value measured at admission. This study examined the importance of CRPv for mortality among individuals who were hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU).

In the quest for novel MAGL inhibitors, a focused screening approach on a Roche library subset provided a reversible benzoxazinone hit exhibiting high ligand efficiency. The subsequent design of the three-dimensional -hexahydro-pyrido-oxazinone (-HHPO) moiety as benzoxazinone replacement enabled the combination of high MAGL potency with favorable ADME properties.

Demographic information, preoperative examination, and final pathological evaluation of patients with Bethesda category III (AUS-FLUS) nodules who had been operated on in our department over the last 6 years were analyzed. Statistical analyses were performed using the Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U test and χ-test and logistic regression analysis using SPSS version 22 software.

However, there is a lack of evidence about the effects of dual-tasks with hierarchical difficulty on DTC in PwMS.
Research Question: This study aimed to investigate the effect of task difficulty on DTC during cognitive-motor dual-task walking in people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS).
The relationship between preoperative miR-146b and miR-155 expression levels and postoperative pathology results in patients operated on for nodular thyroid disease and thyroid malignancy was investigated. Sixty three patients who were operated on for thyroid nodules diagnosed as benign, malignant and atypia of undetermined significance (AUS) were included in the study. Preoperative miR-146b and miR-155 expression levels of these patients were compared according to postoperative pathology results.
