Impact of Simulation on the Development of Nursing Students' Competence in Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Background: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training is crucial for nursing students as future nurses are the first responders in the ambulatory and hospital care chain. Simulation-based learning has been shown to be more effective in acquiring the knowledge and technical and non-technical skills required for CPR. The present study aims to evaluate the impact of high-fidelity simulation-based adult CPR training on the acquisition and retention of knowledge and the development of technical and non-technical skills of nursing students at the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Techniques in Fez, Morocco.

Assessment of the Safety and Efficiency of a Preperitoneal Continuous Infusion Using Bupivacaine after Abdominal Laparotomy in Digestive Carcinology.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of continuous preperitoneal wound infiltration using bupivacaine after abdominal laparotomy in relation to plasma bupivacaine concentration and visual analog scale. Our study was performed on 60 adult patients with digestive cancer, operated at laparotomy, and randomized into two groups: bupivacaine and saline groups. The wound infiltration was through a multiperforated catheter along the scar.

[Treatment of postoperative peritonitis in the Intensive Care Unit: a retrospective study of 46 cases].

We conducted a study of 46 patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with postoperative peritonitis. The incidence of postoperative peritonitis in this setting was 2.7%.

Factors Associated with Mortality in Severe Acute Cholangitis in a Moroccan Intensive Care Unit: A Retrospective Analysis of 140 Cases.

Background: Severe acute cholangitis is a life-threatening biliary infection, leading to organ dysfunction, septic shock, and naturally death. Mortality has dropped significantly in the past years through improving resuscitation and biliary drainage techniques. The aim of our study is to analyze our daily practice and the factors associated with mortality.

How thoracic surgeon manage tracheal tumors in African country? (Case series).

Introduction: Tracheal tumors are a rare pathological entity whose diagnosis is usually delayed by clinical latency. Surgery, which consists of a tracheal resection-anastomosis with or without reconstructive reconstruction, remains the treatment that ensures the best long-term survival.

Methods: This is a retrospective study about 8 patients admitted in the department of thoracic surgery of Hassan II's university hospital of Fes for tracheal tumors management during 7 years time (December 2010 to December 2017).

Transurethral resection of prostate syndrome: report of a case.

We report a case of transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) syndrome. A 78-year-old man with prostatic hypertrophy was scheduled for transurethral resection of the prostate under spinal anesthesia. 30 minutes after the end of the surgery, the patient presented signs of TURP syndrome with bradycardia, arterial hypotension, cyanosis, hypoxemia and coma.

Dislocation of temporo-mandibular joint - an uncommon circumstance of occurrence: vaginal delivery.

Dislocation of temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) is an infrequent disease but still spectacular. This disease consists of a permanent, to some extent complete disruption of the temporo-mandibular joint. These dislocations often occur in a context of yawning, and less frequently after a burst of laughing or relatively mild facial trauma (slap, punch on the chin).
