Cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. One of the primary causes of cancer development and progression is epigenetic dysregulation, which is a heritable modification that alters gene expression without changing the DNA sequence. Therefore, targeting these epigenetic changes has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy.

Complicated surgical procedures such as ridge augmentation, vestibuloplasty, and sinus lifting are usually accompanied by high risks such as membrane injury, hemorrhage, nerve affection, and increased time needed for implant treatment with unpredictable healing time. Short dental implants allow for faster treatment and decrease the need for complicated surgeries that are usually associated with standard dental implants, as in all four and all six concepts.

Historically, the extraction of dermal grafts has encountered substantial technical impediments, contributing to its limited acceptance and utilisation in clinical practice. The prototype dermatome, introduced in this technical note, offers a solution that could facilitate the more extensive adoption of dermal grafting techniques.

In this context, ionic liquids (ILs) and deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have gained significant attention in recent years due to their unique properties and potential for solubility enhancement. In this study, we explore the role of different counterparts in the formation of IL/DESs with piperine (PI), a poorly water-soluble drug.

Abdominoplasty is one of the most often performed aesthetic procedures all over the world. In post-bariatric patients undergoing abdominoplasty, the diameter size and number of the abdominal wall perforators increase proportionally with increased body weight.

The present investigation has been carried out to study the prophylactic as well as the therapeutic effects of treated rats with quercetin (Quer) and curcumin (Cur), which are two medicinal herbs known for their antioxidant activities against damages induced by whole-body fractionated gamma irradiation. Exposure of rats to whole-body gamma irradiation induced a significant decrease in erythrocyte (RBC), leukocyte (WBCs), platelet count (Plt), hemoglobin concentration (Hb), hematocrit (Hct %), mean erythrocyte hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), and mean erythrocyte volume (MCV); a high increase in plasma thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS); a nonsignificant statistical decrease in the mean value of serum glutathione (GSH); a significant increase in plasma alanine transferase (ALT), aspartate transferase (AST), alkaline phosphates (ALP), serum total protein, serum total cholesterol levels, total triglycerides levels, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels; and with marked histological changes and structural changes measured by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR).

The accuracy and precision of dosimeters for small animals, particularly prolonged exposure to nonuniform radiation fields, are always challenging. A state-of-the-art dosimeter utilizing glass-encapsulated Thermoluminescence cylindrical detector (TLD) was introduced.

Background: The prevalence of obesity has increased globally and is associated with many comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes and fatty liver and cardiovascular diseases. Bariatric surgery is considered an effective intervention for achieving weight loss and controlling lipidemia and glycemia.
Objectives: This Saudi retrospective observational study evaluates the clinical and biochemical benefits following bariatric surgery to obese diabetic patients.
The in-vitro anti-proliferative evaluation of Sinularia levi total extract against three cell lines revealed its potent effect against Caco-2 cell line with IC50 3.3 μg/mL, followed by MCF-7 and HepG-2 with IC50 6.4 μg/mL and 8.

The aim of this study was to assess the effect of immediate neoadjuvant electromotive instillation of mitomycin C before transurethral resection for patients with non-muscle-invasive urothelial bladder cancer.
Materials And Methods: Our study was a randomized clinical trial carried out on 50 patients diagnosed with non-muscle-invasive urothelial bladder cancer.
Background And Aim: Dietary pattern and diet quality can influence the incidence of dental caries and can be indicated by decay missing filled (Dmf) scores in the primary dentition. This study aims to find the relationship of nutritional status and oral hygiene practices on Dmf scores of preschool children.
Materials And Methods: Semi-structured and self-administered questionnaires, distributed among 60 preschoolers' parents, were used to assess the demographic and diet related data.
