High-throughput phenotyping is an emerging approach in plant science, but thus far only a few applications have been made in horticultural crop breeding. Remote sensing of leaf or canopy spectral reflectance can help breeders rapidly measure traits, increase selection accuracy, and thereby improve response to selection. In the present study, we evaluated the integration of spectral analysis of canopy reflectance and genomic information for the prediction of strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) powdery mildew disease.

Introduction: Metastasis to retropharyngeal lymph nodes (RPLN) from oral squamous cell carcinoma is rare and associated with poor outcomes. The poor prognosis of RPLN is multifactorial and includes the clinicopathological aggressiveness of the primary disease and the late presentation. The aim of this systematic review is to assess the evidence on RPLN in patients diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), the quality of the diagnostic modalities and the available treatment options.

Highly adsorptive composite (MCH-ATA) was produced by the reaction of chitosan with formaldehyde and amino thiazole derivative. The sorbent was characterized by FTIR, elemental analyses (EA), SEM-EDX, TEM analysis, TGA and titration (volumetric).

Some difficulties with manual segmentation have necessitated the use of deep learning models to assist clinicians in effectively recognizing and segmenting tumors. Deep learning (DL), particularly convolutional neural networks, has produced outstanding success in classifying and segmenting images.

We report a case of a two-year-old female patient with no known past medical history, brought by her parents to the ED 30 minutes after ingesting a total dose of 97 mg of salbutamol solution. ECG was done for the patient when she arrived and showed sinus tachycardia with prolonged QTc (509 ms) and normal QRS complex.

It is a life-threatening contagious infection with infected patients usually presenting with respiratory tract symptoms, although the disease can affect other multiple organs. Coronavirus disease-2019 infection is a hypercoagulable state associated with serious thrombotic complications, particularly in critically ill patients.

Design: Case series.
Methods: Fifteen eyes of eleven children (3-12 months old at presentation) were enrolled in this study after the establishment of PCG diagnosis based on the criteria placed by the World Glaucoma Association.
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic macular edema (DME) are retinal complications of diabetes that can lead to loss of vision and impaired quality of life. The current gold standard therapies for treatment of DR and DME focus on advanced disease, are invasive, expensive, and can trigger adverse side-effects, necessitating the development of more effective, affordable, and accessible therapies that can target early stage disease. The pathogenesis and pathophysiology of DR is complex and multifactorial, involving the interplay between the effects of hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hypoxia, and production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the promotion of neurovascular dysfunction and immune cell polarization to a proinflammatory state.

Identifying ABCG2 inhibitors could help discover extraordinary curative strategies for carcinoma remediation. Hitherto, there is no medication drug inhibiting ABCG2 transporter, notwithstanding that a considerable number of drugs have been submitted to clinical-trial and investigational phases.

Herein, an in silico study was conducted to mine for M inhibitors from toxin sources. A toxin and toxin-target database (T3DB) was virtually screened for inhibitor activity towards the M enzyme utilizing molecular docking calculations.

Global concern motivated the investigation of the role of related genes' polymorphism in predicting the liability to infection, sepsis, septic shock and survival. Among these genes is the gene encoding mannose-binding lectin (MBL), with its remarkable importance in the immune system.

Objectives: We aimed to study the clinical manifestations of COVID-19 infection among adult Sudanese demented patients and the prevalence of cognitive impairment among adult Sudanese nondemented patients.
Background: Low ADAMTS13 activity has been suggested to be an interplaying factor in the pathogenesis of COVID-19, considering that it is a thromboinflammatory disease with high risk of microthrombosis.
Objectives: The study aimed to explore the correlation between ADAMTS13 activity and the pathophysiological pathway of COVID-19.
Methods: We carried out a retrospective observational study of 87 patients with COVID-19 in NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This paper presents an implementation of RoSA, a Robot System Assistant, for safe and intuitive human-machine interaction. The interaction modalities were chosen and previously reviewed using a Wizard of Oz study emphasizing a strong propensity for speech and pointing gestures. Based on these findings, we design and implement a new multi-modal system for contactless human-machine interaction based on speech, facial, and gesture recognition.

This study aimed to comparatively evaluate taper, amount of dentin removal and instrumentation time of the pediatric rotary Kedo-S Square file, hand K-files and H-files in primary canines using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Methods: 60 primary canines were randomly assigned into three groups; A1 Kedo-S-Square rotary file (group I), hand stainless steel K file (group II) and hand stainless steel H file (group III).
Thromboembolism is a recognized complication in patients with COVID-19 infection. It is believed that coagulopathy results secondary to severe inflammatory response syndrome with release of cytokines, viral activation of coagulation cascade or viral related vasculitis. Both arterial and venous thromboembolic complications have been described, however venous thromboembolic complications are much far common.

In this study, fate of micropollutants was investigated in a membrane bioreactor (MBR) having dynamic membrane (DM) and ultrafiltration (UF) membrane for the treatment of raw municipal wastewater. Removal efficiencies of different micropollutants including sulfamethoxazole, ciprofloxacin, trimethoprim, caffeine and acetaminophen were assessed. A commercial hollow fiber UF membrane was used in parallel with a DM that was formed on a low-cost hollow fiber support material, made of polyester.
