A rare case of primary hydatid disease in the cervical paravertebral compartment.

Hydatid disease is a common parasitic illness. The paravertebral region is rarely involved. After presenting with chronic posterior upper neck swelling, a 28-year-old male patient underwent successful surgical treatment for a primary hydatid disease of the cervical paravertebral compartment after he presented with chronic posterior neck pain.

The presentation pattern and surgical strategies in bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumors: a multicenter experience in a low-income country.

Background: Bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumors include typical and atypical carcinoids, with typical carcinoids accounting for 80%-90% of these types of tumor. The primary curative treatment for these tumors is surgical resection. To our knowledge, there are limited studies on the presentation patterns and treatment strategies of bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumors in Africa.

A ruptured descending thoracic aorta pseudo aneurysm in a child presented with chest pain having untreated aortic coarctation: A case report.

Introduction: Coarctation of aorta is a congenital narrowing of the aorta commonly involving periductal segment of descending aorta. It commonly occurs as an isolated lesion and if left untreated it may result in hypertension, aneurysm and aortic rupture.
