Hydatid disease is a common parasitic illness. The paravertebral region is rarely involved. After presenting with chronic posterior upper neck swelling, a 28-year-old male patient underwent successful surgical treatment for a primary hydatid disease of the cervical paravertebral compartment after he presented with chronic posterior neck pain.
