Reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) reaction has attracted much attention as a potential approach for CO valorization via the production of synthesis gas, especially over Fe-modified supported Cu catalysts on CeO. However, most studies have focused solely on investigating the RWGS reaction over catalysts with high Cu and Fe loadings, thus leading to an increase in the complexity of the catalytic system and, hence, preventing the gain of any reliable information about the nature of the active sites and reaction mechanism. In this work, a CeO-supported single-atom Cu catalyst modified with iron was synthesized and evaluated for the RWGS reaction.

The efficiency of pristine graphene (GN) in the delivery process of the Favipiravir (FPV) anti-COVID-19 drug was herein revealed within the FPV⋯GN complexes in perpendicular and parallel configurations in terms of the density functional theory (DFT) method. Adsorption energy findings unveiled that the parallel configuration of FPV⋯GN complexes showed higher desirability than the perpendicular one, giving adsorption energy up to -15.95 kcal mol.

MgO-ZrO mixed oxides prepared with different Mg/Zr atomic ratios (denoted as xMZ: where x is the atomic ratio of Mg/Zr) are investigated for the glucose isomerization to fructose in water at 95 °C. The highest fructose yield of 33 % is obtained over 0.76MZ with ≈74 % selectivity after 3 h.
