Stage III endometrial cancer: preoperative predictability, prognostic factors, and treatment outcome.

Objective: The survival rate for the most common gynecologic cancer, endometrial cancer, has fallen significantly in the last 25 years. Stage III (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) disease accounts for most of the deaths. We evaluated prognostic factors, treatment-related survival, and routinely used assessments for identifying stage III disease before the operation.

Prognostic factors and treatment-related outcome in patients with uterine papillary serous carcinoma.

Unlabelled: A retrospective analysis was performed in order to evaluate prognostic factors and treatment-related outcome in patients with uterine papillary serous carcinoma (UPSC).

Patients And Methods: Between 1989 and 2003 forty-five patients with UPSC were treated at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and therefore were included in the analysis. Age, race, history, tumor stage and grade, invasion and metastasis, treatment and outcome for each patient were evaluated.
