Presentation and Management of Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome: A Review of Available Data.

Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome (KTS) is a rare and sporadic congenital disorder, characterized by the classical triad of port-wine stains, varicosities along with bone and soft tissue hypertrophy. Symptoms of Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome include pain, swelling, lymphedema, bleeding, superficial thrombophlebitis, and deep vein thrombosis. The etiology remains indistinct and has been attributed to both genetic and environmental factors.

Case Report: Rare comorbidity of celiac disease and Evans syndrome: The rare correlation of Celiac and Evans syndrome.

Celiac disease is an immune-mediated enteropathy due to permanent sensitivity to gluten in genetically predisposed individuals. Evans syndrome is an autoimmune disorder designated with simultaneous or successive development of autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia and/or immune neutropenia in the absence of any cause. We report a rare case of Celiac disease and Evans syndrome in a 20-year-old female who presented to us with generalized weakness and shortness of breath.

Cerebral Malaria in a Patient with HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.

Cerebral malaria is one of the most common causes of non-traumatic encephalopathy. A 25-year-old man who is a known intravenous and oral drug abuser presented to our clinic with fever and sore throat for two days prior and an altered level of consciousness for one day. On examination, the patient was icteric, and his Glasgow coma scale score on arrival was 10/15; he had dilated pupils reactive to light and a positive corneal reflex.
